OINP takes the latest all programs draw cutoff, deducts 1 point from it and goes down from there. The last all programs draw cutoff was 468 so 467 is the maximum score for this draw.

Tech draw already happened in Feb with almost 1200 invites and maximum score for that draw was also 467 so anybody above 467 would not have received an invite. Next tech draw will probably happen in May or July.

They were super logical last year, too. The tech draw in May invited CEC people with max CRS 450+. 2 weeks later, the cut-off dipped to 430+, wasting more than half of the invitations.

I think that as long as there is no FSW draw, the OINP cutoff will be between 467 and lower. So if you're around the 460's, you have every reason to be hopeful.

But anyone who places a significant value on absolute money that one can earn (while ignoring every other social construct) will prefer to move to the US over Canada (or these days, even to many developing Asian countries over Canada - you can make more money in many places than in Canada). There's no right or wrong here, but considering this is a canada immigration forum, I assume most here would belong to the former category.

Yes. Correct . OINP draw max cut off must be at least 5 points less than last cut off of FSW in order to reduce the wastage of annual invites quota allotted to OINP . A person in the FSW pool must have only 1 chance to either get picked from FSW draw or OINP EE draw.

Yes, indeed if I went back to work in Vietnam, I could earn good salary and afford a luxurious life. But then again, there are more things than just money and wealth. As a matter of fact, many people I know ended up immigrating to other countries (particularly Canada), after having been back to Vietnam for some time.

I would say a word or two more about the US (recent events there even made me question my desire to move in "next door" ) but I don't want to offend any American members of the forum. Then again I doubt many Trump supporters are applying for Canadian PR

I was drawn last November but the application was rejected in January as I'd taken the wrong TCF exam
I was devastated as you may imagine..
I took the (correct) TEF, now back in the pool on 477
I'll retake IELTS in April as I missed 3 points the 1st time. My (French) wife will retake her TEF as she missed two points.
So we have 477, potentially 482. I turn 42 in July, so this'll drop to 467-72
If I hang in there long enough, it should happen. Obviously I try not to think too much about the rejected application!

Shame, I'm sorry to hear that's been your path thus far. How come the test was not deemed satisfactory? And you're right, it's best to just look forward.

I do believe that there will be FSW draw today or tomorrow, that too in huge numbers. Don't know why, but I'm having this gut feeling. Fingers crossed

I think we can expect a PNP only draw today since OINP is giving out nominations to FSWs at their usual pace and those nominations have an expiry date. Not sure about other provinces though.

I have an appointment with a consultant on Friday to discuss trying to overturn the decision..
I'm serene enough about it all tbh, either it's all part of the grand cosmic plan that we realize our Canadian dream, either it's not!

It's strange, they used to accept TEF, TCF, TEF Canada, and TCF Canada. Now they only accept the 'Canada' versions of the exam. I'm glad I saw that before I signed up for my exam. Almost registered for the regular TEF. That would've been a waste of money and effort....

That's unfortunate. I think you will lose your time trying to overturn it, you can consider it as a preparation for the next time you pass it. I do believe TEF Canada is better, probably a little easier and the score ranges are much larger, not 1-20 like TCF.
