Even though I feel no hope at this point, I do agree with you that Canada is by far the most immigrant-friendly country among all the western developed countreis.
Is not over man! 470 is a good score, I think you have a good shot from now until November. You could also start learning french, it could boost your CRS score if needed in the long run, and also help you professionally once in Canada.
Alternatives are some education in Canada as well.

I think immigration traditionally is not about fairness. Each country does whatever they think is best for them, not for people applying from outside. Canada has one of the "most fair" immigration processes out there, pretty transparent on points and draws.
As said above, at least Canada kept their programs open for applications, and since last month, they have included all programs on a couple draws.
If you don't think its fair, maybe just look for another country that has a most fair system during these times
Well said! When you compare the Canada's immigration system, it's much fairer than any other countries. I mean people who don't have any ties to Canada can still become a Permanent Resident. Its the pandemic we have to blame not the Canadian Immigration System.

Then they need to stop telling people around the world to apply. This situation is simple. Canada doesn't owe me and I don't owe canada but stop giving outsiders false hope if you aren't actually interested in bring them in.

They should focus on their in-house applicants alone then. The false hope is annoying. Do they enjoy toying with our emotions?

The false hope exists only when one believes baseless predictions. The alternating pattern has been indicated very clearly by IRCC over the June 8, 22 and Aug 5 draws. They never said anywhere that all programs draw will be the norm every two weeks.

Can someone suggest how is the number of 600 invites explained, if there were only 462 applicants with score above 601 until a day ago?

PNP nominations usually happen by a very large number a day before the draw. That's the reason for it.

Guys , u r predicting too many things , I m frustrated aswell , been waiting since October last year , and now at 470 . International borders is not an issue , as IRCC knows FSWs won’t land the next day . As per me , lack of jobs and work from home is the main reason . Canada want to benefit people who are already there and give them jobs . Even when this pandemic ends , Canada would still continue to keep this pattern , remember my words . Canada is not advertising it’s PR, we want to move there , it will think of the country at first. We are living with false hope, think logically guys . If we have good education and clb 9 or 10 , that doesn’t mean Canada got to give us PR. Similar applicants would keep coming whenever it starts normally , and economic situation gets better

Anyone having issues with calling IRCC? I have called them 3 times and they keep saying they are experiencing high volume calls and I can't be transferred to an agent. What do i do ?

You have to call back later, they always experience high volume calles even before the pandemic. The best time to reach them is early in the morning. The last time I called them was 5 past 8 in the morning, I got through right away.

Guys pls help me,
How's the changes for FSW468. I have been waiting since Nov 2019 ND since then I missed two good opportunities to go ND work in Dubai. But if I go to Dubai it will be on a contract basis so I can't move a muscle after that.. And my age is gonna push me down in points by 2021 March.. What you guys think is it worth waiting? Or just move on with UAE plan?

I really feel so unfair about this pnp cec draw. I am 468 and in the pool since Jan 2020. I think IRCC does not want the score to drop below 470.
And patience is what i am loosing right now.

This is quite unfair to FSW candidates. In the spirit of slight fairness, FSW should be given 2 months uninterrupted like the CECs that got 4 months
I seriously support you in this. Please someone tell IRCC about the pain that fsw ppl are facing. I so hate this fair immigration system.

True but if your NOC is in demand in any of the PNPs like Ontario or SINP, you should try PNP route

Hello Everybody,
Hope you all are doing well.

My Ielts expired on Aug 18, 2020 as it completed 2 years from the date of test i.e., Aug 18, 2018. My point of concern is that why my CIC account is still valid ? Because once your Ielts expires the CIC profile automatically leads to ineligibility ?

Any input will be appreciated.

Take the Dubai route , scores won’t drop below 470 , and it’s been happening since the new immigration minister has come , which was not the case before him . His policies are different , as he wants to give priority to inland applicants .FSW would resume , when everything would be in action - ielts and ECA , so dnt wait assuming that it I’ll drop . I have been waiting since October last year . It’s pretty easy though that 3-4 b2b FSW draws and scores would be 460. However, apparently , IRCC doesn’t want this . They will follow this pattern untill everything I’ll be open

Moreover , more than 1500 people with 470+ have been added to the pool in the last 14 days , if you do a logical calculation . Hence , if that many are adding up even during this time , assume how many would be entering after the pandemic . Unless , any miracle happens , or the minister feel something for struggling FSWs
