Hey guys. I got a question on the biometrics. Last year I’d submitted it for a Canadian TRV application. I also got confirmation that the biometrics were valid for 10 years.

The TRV application was refused however. But I believe the biometrics is still active on the IRCC database. I remember reading these biometrics would be valid for ‘Future VISA applications’. Could someone please advise if those biometrics would be considered in my PR application?

Canadian high commission in India has shared a message that they are working hard to reopen the VACs in September. I find it quite promising - if India VACs open next month, chances are that most of the world will also open.

Considering the reason for VAC closures to be covid, and the fact that India is one of the last remaining countries where covid spread is continuing unabated, I do see a correlation. If they can open even the India VACs, I have hope for most other countries' VACs.
