What's the basis for this "feeling" of yours?
“Ministers reaffirmed the importance of newcomers, particularly international students, in keeping the economy and Canada’s communities moving forward.”
“Ministers agreed on the importance of advancing regional economic immigration objectives and acknowledged the proven success and the strong track record of Provincial Nominee Programs to distribute the benefits of immigration across Canada and federal pilots to address targeted regional (Atlantic) and local (Rural/Northern) gaps.”

It is clear that fsw has been abandoned

That's sad that they didn't mention Federal skilled workers. Yeah sounds like more program specific draws!

Nothing in what you quoted suggests that FSW has been abandoned

The segment that states "particularly international students" really puts me think if FSWs won't start to be treated as "FST" are currently; with sparse draws, from time to time. While CECs and PNPs will become the new normal.

I hope I'm wrong, but based on the way that text was written, I don't foresee FSWs returning to full force anytime soon. :(

Saying FSW is stopping is kinda dumb if you really don't know, and you are just speculating:
A) there was a draw two weeks ago, don't you think if they wanted to stop it they would have not conducted that draw?
B) international students have always been a higher method for attraction for international talent, just compare the numbers of international students vs express entry numbers
C) the minister would clearly state if the program is stopping
There is no point for alarming at this point, specially when we just had an all program draw just this month

The all program draw that happened this month does not mean or prove anything... But my question, can they really achieve their targets on PNP and CEC alone?

Considering their target for 2020, yes they can achieve if they want to continue with program specific draws. Look at the rise in CRS for the last CEC draw. Just in a month it hit 455. International students who arrived in Canada previously are transforming into CEC candidates. Even if they issue ITAs for just 2500, they can still meet their targets for 2020.

I’m not talking about 2020 target... I’m talking the whole 3 years

Means that they haven't abandoned the program. Does not say anything of the frequency of draws, or anything else along the lines of when is the next FSW draw.

In my opinion, they can't completely rely on CECs. They need skilled workers definitely. They might consider doing this until the pandemic situation gets better or if they run out of CEC candidates.

Again it's my opinion but I hope the opposite should happen.

I have a random question: if IRCC gives 3900 ITA per draw, and some of those are rejected, does IRCC gives back does invites in a different draw?

I feel some people rush to the system and fill information even when they have not completed their full year of experience, and other things..

That’s a good question. Well only IRCC knows the answer. Also, few people can cancel their ITAs.

Hey guys please don't say few will stop. I hope to get my ITA September. I have already paid for many things and it has been a huge cost
