Hey everyone
I have two dumb questions on PCC:

For countries that there is a need of Letter of request, there is no need to upload that PCC immediately after receiving the ITA correct? I was reading the IRCC website and apperently you just need to check or upload something that you are applying to a country that needs an official letter.
My understanding is that after AOR they would send me the request, and then I would be able to get the PCC. Currently it look like the office in Mexico that handles the required PCC has not categorized that certificate as essential, so they are not giving them..
Not sure if someone has experience with a country with this policy for PCC

From IRCC website:
"If you need a request letter
Some countries will only give you a police certificate if you have a request letter from us. If this applies to you:

  • Upload a document in the police certificate field in the document checklist that says: “I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate”.
We’ll then review your application. If it is otherwise complete, we’ll send you more information on how to get a police certificate."

Also, I traced back all of my travel for the last 10 years, and it appears I only need the PCC from México (I'm currently living here and I am from here) and USA (worked there for about 5 years, got a PCC a week before I left, but sent my fingerprints last week to get an updated one. I studied abroad in Sweden, and had extended biz travel to Brazil, but none of those come close to exceed the 6 month requirement, its closer to 4 months each. I should be set only with US and Mexico right?

1 you don’t have to explain to IRCC if you have two degrees. They clearly understand what your WES report indicates.
If you don’t have a masters degree, it will be difficult to convince IRCC that you were working while studying for a Bachelor which is full-time.
Work experience after your B.Sc is generally acceptable even if you were enrolled for a postgraduate degree but if it’s otherwise stated in your WES report, it will difficult to convince IRCC
Thanks for your reply. What if the company which I work for provides the necessary documents such as the reference letter, salary slips, offer letter etc? Or should I explain it in an LOE to convince them? TIA :)

As I mentioned earlier on,it is a common logic that you can’t do both things at same time. However, you can try to explain with an LOE but be careful so you don’t screw your application up.
submit what you have as real.

Checked this link completely. Unfortunately IELTS has not yet resumed in the US
https://www.ieltsusatest.org/IELTS

Some of my friends are extremely upset. They have the ECA done and IELTS I guess in the US might resume by Sep and they cannot even travel to Canada or Mexico to write IELTS.
Any suggestions or alternate in this situation guys?

I have heard that it is acceptable to have foreign work experience while studying (It's just having an overlap for two years). So that's why I wanted to clarify it. So I'll go ahead with submitting all the relevant documents related to work experience and degree (without an LOE). Thanks for the inputs :)

Hi!

Since you have a similar experience, a quick question - I worked in another country for 89 and 83 days 2 years in a row, those were sort of short term assignments. So after getting my ITA I mentioned those trips under the regular trips section rather than when answering to where I’ve been living during the past 10 years. Now I’m not sure if that’s ok or if I should refill the forms and get a police certificate from that country, too.
What you did is correct. I followed the same strategy when I filled my application and there were no issues. If PCC is needed they will ask for one.

Suggestions about the following:
-Did studies abroad for a semester (August - December) in Sweden. Was there a combined time of 130 days, but with lesiure travel, I splitted that time in 40 days +45 days + 40 days

-Worked/Biz travel in Brazil for 80 days, with some travel in between, I have 50 days + 31 days

-Worked in the USA from 2 years, but my base (salary and home) was in México, but traveled a lot. On occasions stayed in hotel, and other, the company payed apartments

How should I categorize those times?

Hi All,

I am at 478, I worked in my final year bachelors [4 Years Degree] and have been working from the past two years after finishing my masters. I am preparing my documents from two days but now I am worried after seeing this comment. Any thoughts? Issygn?

You don’t need to be worried as long as you can prove that your work experience was within the 30hour stipulated period. Work experience is a kinda complicated thing and IRCC knows how to do the maths so remain hopeful.

The only thing i am totally sure of is that your application will be processed more faster if you keep it simple.

Thank you for your response Issygn !!

Question(s). What makes an application simple?
Do you think providing mode documents makes it complicated or simple given the IRCC is only asking for Experience letter?
I have paystubs from the past 2+ years. Its been more than 5 years since I stopped working for the first company and moved out the country, not sure if I can find my paystubs somewhere. I raised a request with my employer for the experience letter for that period. I can even request them to sign a notary if need be.

My question again! What makes an application simple? Does adding offer letter, LOE, etc. makes it simple? or only providing for what the IRCC asking for makes it simple?

I was planning to just do the experience letters and few of latest paystubs as suggested by the official website but now I am taking a meticulous effort.
