Especially after multiple factors were pointing towards and all program draw this time.
EE is based on a mathematical model - the higher the score the better the candidate (i'm not commenting on any person just talking about the model)

I cant seem to understand that when you have thousands of high scoring candidates then why drop the score to 430 level?????

If covid 19 is an issue then due to the delayed processing of applications FSW candidates will not be able to land in canada before a year!

Hi, I was just browsing around in the forum hoping to see updates on when EE/ FSW draws will resume and I happen to chance by this thread. After reading this comment just wanted to share my thoughts. I think the only reason it dropped down to the 430s level is because recent draws since early march (correct me if I'm wrong) were Canadian Experience Class (aside from PNP - which will always have a higher cutoff). So lets focus on the CEC. Given this, I THINK people in EE/FSW streams (maybe where the bulk of the applicants are -also possibly where most of the high CRS scorers may be) are not being drawn yet. By the time this stream gets included back in the draws, we can expect the cutoff to blow up higher.

This actually makes sense given the COVID backdrop because CEC applicants are usually already in Canada - so no need to worry about - will they be able to find a flight, or even just having a big influx of people, etc.

Again, I'm no expert but this is just how I understand the drop in CRS cutoff.

Gosh. H1Bs have taken tons of ITAs last year and this immigration minister will invite them too to the race again. The H1Bs that have made a fortune in the US will now be foraying into Canada in large numbers now.
Be prepared to see the new normal of 470 plus cut-off forever.
Only hope now is IELTS not happening much and ECA delay (more than 6 months). That can save ppl (those who settled with a 460 plus) from the massive incoming H1Bs that are ready to cross the border.
Big question is Canada is not inviting outlanders now and the minister invites H1B dudes to Canada. Interesting

I think this might push Canada to open up FSW draws again so as to accommodate the H1Bs and getting good talent in.

There's just no sense in excluding countries. Currently, even in the US ou Brazil the ratio between cases and the total population is something like "1 case per each 150 individual". How could this be used to implement a policy to exclude countries?
Just test the individual and quarantine him/her for 14 days, and that's it. No big deal, at all.

Man..... onething i dont understand is that.... Officially there is no statement about FSW.... I mean nothing, not even a word... I hve been following all news and our forums and there is absolutely nothing that indiacates anything abt FSW. They have clear answer for everything else, student visa, pGwp, work permit, international exp class also they declared on hold....

I even listernd to parliamnet committy and prime minister during this time, but, no! They said nothing abt us!
Strange, isn't it?

hi guys..so just a question.. everyone here is so desperate to get the ITA...but im wondering what are the motives of everyone to move to canada? is it for better work opportunities, more money, better life? is this hassle really worth it?? im questioning my motives myself now!

I have been in the pool since oct 2019 with a score of 455 and with spouse ielts and eca, improved my score to 474. The last draw for fsw was on march 4th and i got the eca and score updated on march 5th. Lost 5 points in the same month and im now at 469. I have lost all hope and i feel like my canadian dream is lost forever..ITA is worth it for so many reasons for so many of us. For me i want to give a better life and education for my 4 year old daughter.
