Guys,
This whole year so far, CRS score hasn't come down below 440. People with decent IELTS score are waiting for their turn. I am in the same boat. We all understand this pain. Seeing the last years lowest score ie 413, I was very hopeful that I will surely get an ITA this year, just like many of you would have thought. The more we wait, the more frustrating it is becoming for us.

Is it really a draw that is picked or the CIC guys have decided not to get our wishes fulfilled this year? I don't understand. Please help!

Waiting for ITA @438 score when my friends luckily got ITA @438 last year.
:( :( :(
REPOSTING FROM AN OLDER THREAD

"IRCC does not give a damn about CRS score. This is a demand-supply game. Last year demand was low, so everyone with 413+ score got in. This year we have people with 439 score who are waiting for ITA from last 1 year.

PNP is solely dependent on regional government. We all saw how Ontario voted for conservative party which isn't pro-immigration. OINP hcp for outland candidates is a last hope for many but keep in mind that only 1900 spots are left.

We have 8800+ people in 430-440 range. How would they select 1800 people from this slot? Even if they go for ICT candidates, there is a full chance that half of these profiles belong to ICT NOCs. So there is no way they can filter these profiles. (Maybe that's why they are only sending noi under French and job offer stream.)

Long story short, do whatever you can to maximize your crs. Don't just sit and wait for some miracle. (Untill you have maxed out your score.)"

Question, aside from ITAs, is there a site where I can check that a draw happened on the 19th?

Totally agree with @peacefulwarrior. Try to max out your CRS score. Maxing out your IELTS score would boost your CRS alot. Aim for at least 440. I don't think they would go lower than that score, at least within this year. Good luck.

Just received the PPR email. Thank you everyone on this forum with special mentions to all you frequent ROHers who helped keep the hope alive and this journey amazing.

Express Entry Profile - October 2017
Recreated EE Profile - February 2018
Nominated/ITA - July 2018
PPR - September 2018

Mid-July 2017:

I decided to try immigrating to Canada after seeing news that the CRS scores were going down. My aunt works in a consultancy so she said she would help with the process. I did a quick check with some “guesstimates” plugged in for my IELTS scores and found out I might have received an ITA if my profile had been created already. The cut-off at the time was 433 if I remember correctly and I was thrilled at the prospects.

August 2017:

I booked my IELTS test for September 30 and got the transcripts from my university to send to WES.

September 2017:
I took the IELTS test and sent my university transcripts to WES. I thought I did pretty well in the test so I was eager to see my scores. My one regret is that I didn’t put too much practice into the writing module and my handwriting was much shabbier than I recollect from my last exams :D.

October 2017:
IELTS results received (LRWS: 8.5/9/7/7)…I was somewhat shocked that I scored so low in the writing and speaking sections, but I was happy I didn’t score below CLB9 in any module. I created my express entry profile on the 17th of October, received a CRS score of 435 and was very optimistic about my chances for the next draw. The next draw was on the 18th of October and the cut-off was 436, I literally could not sleep. What if I had missed my chance? All I needed was 0.5 more on either the writing or speaking modules and I would have received an ITA!

November 2017 to February 2018:

I was extremely active in prediction threads (ROH/FB etc.), hoping the score would eventually come down to 435. But every draw during this period sucked a little bit more of my willpower away. Eventually I couldn’t take it anymore and after consulting a few people and sources I trusted, I decided I would recreate my profile and hope for an NOI from Ontario. It didn’t seem like the tie-break was enough of a criterion to be concerned with at that point since the CRS cut-offs were so high.

On the 26th of February, I literally screamed for joy when I saw a notification on Gmail that my EE profile had received a message. I had to wait for an hour and a half to get home to check my profile since I didn’t remember the password at work. Sure enough, it was an NOI from Ontario, which at the time felt like a PPR email even though I knew I was pretty far away from it.

March 2018:

Submitted my OINP application on the 16th of March and literally checked my OINP profile every day for nearly 3 months until I got my nomination from Ontario on the 6th of June.

June 2018:

CRS went up by 600 points and I got my ITA on the 13th of June. Booked my medicals and PCC appointments for the earliest slots I could find.

July 2018:
Submitted my EE application for permanent residence.

August 2018:

August 3rd - Medicals Passed

Mid August – IP1

End of August – IP2

September 17th – Ghost update (first one that I noticed at least)

September 18th – PPR

This has been an unbelievable journey and I am sure there’s more to come. A big thank you to everyone who has helped, and my best wishes to everyone who is still waiting.

I am going to Canada! :)

Are you a CEC or FWS-O applicant? What's your country of residence?

Hello All,

I have been following the forum for some time now, and was able to get answers to most of my doubts- Thanks a lot to all those who are sharing and helping here.

I have a doubt which I could not find an answer to in the forum - can someone please help

Got my Invite this July but Had to decline it yesterday as I am still waiting for some of the paper works for my Family (PC). So if I get an Invite in the next draw (which I am really hoping for), will I have to do the medical again (I did it for my previous invite 20 days back) ?

You won’t have to do it again. People do upfront medicals.

Dear All,

Asking this for a colleague.

He is married. He has CRS of 440, submitted Sept 4. To achieve this, he put that his wife is not accompanying him, because her ECA is pending and due to be out September 26.

If her ECA comes out and she is accompanying him, his score goes to 442.

The challenge is that he will be a year older by October 7. So, he has 2 potential draws before his birthday - September 19 and October 3.

What do you suggest? He holds on for her ECA to be out and risk being invited in only the October 3 draw (assuming there is one) or he remains in the pool as unaccompanied and be potentially invited by September 19.

If he happens to be selected by September 19, can he still make her accompanying upon submission of application?
