My CRS Score is 438. I am in the process of appearing for the IELTS Test again to try increase my score to 441. I would like to know if the above is the correct thing to do in the current situation as it will take 1.5 months for me to get my IELTS Score updated.
Either ways you don't have much choice. It's difficult for the CRS to drop below 438 in next 1.5 months. Increasing your score is the only option. You just risk losing $240.

Do both.
Go for a re-test and apply for re-val only if getting a better score in speaking/writing will help. Useless to apply hoping for increase in reading/listening.

hello there ..
i am kinda newbie to this express entry program
i would like to ask if my CRS evaluation score (didnt apply yet cuz of ECA) is 429 ... with a bachelors degree + CLB 9 ielts
should i pursue a one year post graduate diploma to push it to 462 ... i am scared that this option may be time consuming and some modifications might happen to EE system.
or should i just wait till the score goes down .. which didnt happen since may 2016 ...
thanks in advance
French can help if you wana give a try.

Is there a basis for this number - 89000 ? From what I read, they were targeting 74900 ITAs which leaves only about 20k for the remaining 7 draws.

https://www.canadim.com/canada-announces-immigration-level-targets-2018-2020/
74900 is the number of approved PRs not the ITAs issued. Yes, there is a basis for this number 89000. Last year, ITAs issued were 86023 when target approved PRs were 71000. Now, for a target of 74900, do a ratio and proportional calculation and you will get a number slightly higher than 89000.

Between August 8th and August 22nd, almost 3750 people submitted their EE profile with CRS score above 440 (no cut off change, only tie break is changed) . If this is the pattern in the coming draws, there is no chance of score dropping below 440 right ? Because the number of people trying for express entry is only going to increase.

I am at 438 with new profile and what are the chances of cut off dropping below 438 in 2018 ?

Ey guys, one question: I have read about re-marking IELTS stories and most of them end up in small .5 increases that eventually help the person to max out IELTS (if that is what they wanted). My question is: Most of the re-marking processes end up positively?
Nope. My fiancé and I requested for EOR and results were negative. Received the sad news after a week. We actually wasted money. Better to retake IELTS. BUT if you are 100% confident you did well and have extra money, go for it. There is no harm in trying.

Does the score decrease after remark ? I got 7 for speaking want to give for EOR to make it 7.5, then score becomes CLB10. I don't mind risking the money for remarking, but I am worried my mark may decrease. I believe I got what I deserve (or more) for speaking. If mark won't decrease I want to give for remark

No, marks never decrease so go for it.
