hhaaha yeah..4 to 7 years actually :p ..and I was almost done with my coursework..But,,the uni awarded me M.Phil degree based on my 1.5 year of coursework and comparatively less advanced thesis..
and hey are you going for an online French course?
No I started classes at an alliance francais but they moving very slow. I also downloaded duolingo and joined a French whatsapp group where they give a lot of good resources

Oh ok..best of luck. I contacted the only French school in this city 2 times, but they don't offer a course unless they have 4-5 students. Unfortunately, I am the only potential customer they have since last year. I have Michel Thomas's course material, but not sure if it's good enough.

I guess thats why cut off was high

That's always been the case for every draw - FSW, FST, CEC and PNP folks are eligible unless the draw is program specific.
Program specific draw has happened only once this year on May 30th.
