Hi Friends,

It has become a dilemma & on the way to becoming an agony, the first draw of the year has put some amount of scar on our hope but still we have to be hopeful about our future.

Guys, I am at 435 & I will be turning 30 in June, so do you think I should apply for OINP once it opens? or should I wait for direct ITA? this is really getting on my nerve right now :(

Pls experts, give me advice what will be the best thing for me to do now. If we see the cutoff to remain in 446 range with 2750 Itas in the coming draws too, what should i do in that case? :(

French skills.

More points are always better. I'm even at 445 but just found an open IELTS spot on 1/20 and have persuaded my wife to take the exam. So just burnt >200 USD plus travelling cost as well. Immigration is expensive but we can earn it back. If you can try to pay for the fee then go for it.

Since CIC has been very unpredictable in these last few months, it's best to be safe and try for OINP.

Quick question all about letter of employment duties.

I am starting the process of obtaining this document now. I do not have ITA yet, but things at my current employer are quite bad ( long story, bullying staff, trying to force staff to sign new contracts removing certain legal rights ) so may have to leave my current employer within this month to get out of the toxic environment :)

Does anybody know how recently dated the letter confirming employment duties needs to be ?

I actually have one from last year, but can get the same issued again and signed in the next week or so. If I am lucky enough to get an NOI from OINP when it re-opens, I know it should be fine, but, the earliest I can expect an ITA is March, would a letter from January be ok for a March ITA ?

Or in short, how recent does the letter of employment need to be dated ? :)

Thank you again and best wishes

Can we upload the IELTS results once the results are out but before we receive the certificate? What if my scores are lower than the first one. Can I keep the old results or I should upload the new result?

I am on the exact same score my friend, the day after I created my profile the cut-off was 436 and it has now been almost 3 months of hoping and waiting with no luck. However, I do believe our agony will end soon - keep hope alive!

1. You will need to wait for the certificate to get the TRF number and the issue date.
2. If the scores are lower, you can keep the old scores as long as they are valid (within 2 years) and just ignore the new result.
Good Luck!
