now predciting them is more tough.
The new rule would line up candidates with there score and profile created time stamp.
if they decide to invite 2000, then the first 2000 will be picked up

Thanks to start a new ROH.... 458 was damn... Never anticipated.
Like majority of comments :
a. CIC trying to complete the final quote of 2017
B. Need some guidance by when 2018 quota starts ? May be upcoming draw provides hint towards it.
C. Not sure we would have a back to back draw next week...

Thinking of taking a break and just Nirvana for sometime... Hopefully that gives some mental relief....

I would say comparing to what most FSW or CEC see is nothing to the FST category.
In their case they only had 2 draws in total. So anybody who would not qualify under PNP ( or had LMIA in the past), would have it almost mission impossible to get through. So far there were only 2 draws within last 3 years for them.
I am a bit guessing but maybe the new strategy will be to have separated small draws for them a bit more frequently. Because Canada do also need skilled tradesmen.

I got in but it feels kinda bittersweet. Sad to be a part of such a depressing draw. Will try and make it up by helping with any questions/info I can.

it is very surprise that since May we haven't seen CRS drop below 430 but still there are only 3241 candidates on 421-430 range and only 3946 from 411-420 range. This is quite less compare to previous years and less people being added every month.

these ranges will be flushed away quickly from January if CIC will issue more ITAs.

So I m hoping we will be seeing lowest CRS ever in next year.

This what I referred to earlier "Glass is half full". Don't lose hope, be strong be optimistic and be positive.

When you get something very easily you never value it. When you cannot value it, it is unlikely to reap the benefits of it as well.

Immigration is a tough preposition for all skilled workers, you wont find a job, lesser money, a very few connections and an entirely new place. So if you get it very easily its highly likely you to get frustrated with all the challenges you face. I am sure most of the people overcome those challenges but still in doing so they might lose the charm of it. So for all of us who were "not successful this time" its a mental preparation for the challenges ahead.

how does the new rule work

Feel like an idiot - we took IELTS last year and had a score of 418. But i delayed WES thinking 418 will never be enough, but then the scores dropped, but i was too late to get WES. And now was been waiting at 428 since June 5. Lose 5 points tomorrow (Happy Birthday to me!!). Can't increase my score easily (IELTS 9,9,9,8.5) without PNP or a job.
Anyway, need to wait till March when my spouse can be the primary and our score will be >460 - assuming she can improve her IELTS slightly.
