Wow, your IELTS scores are impressive.

I just realised that I would need to get reference letters from all the work experience i mentioned. One of the companies was rebranded (from Sofitel Plaza to Pan Pacific), and another one I really don't want to get reference from...Does it mean I will need to take these two jobs off my application?
Thank you. Unfortunately my CRS score is unimpressive o_O

You should be able to ask the rebranded company for a letter of reference. They can note that during your employment, the company's name was under the previous name. You must get letters of reference with all of the required information for all work experience for which you are claiming points. However, if you are unable to get the required letter of reference from an employer, for example because the employer has a policy of not giving out information about your day to day duties, you can get around it in a number of ways that are discussed in a number of other threads.

The wimpy me just removed the 2 work experiences to avoid the complication. More than 3 year experience in the same NOC is fine I suppose, no need for 5. Fingers crossed.

Now I definitely have to wait as my application is now resubmitted...

Oh yes, in addition to having a couple automated processes checking the page and emailing me alerts, I manually check the Ontario updates page at least 10 times a day and log in at least once a day to see if I can submit an application! I have OINP OCD disease ... o_O
Believe me, I suffered from that decease. o_O
I hope to suffer soon from PPR OCD dicease. :D

It doesn't even have to be in the same NOC. Just 3 years of combined experience in any 0, A, or B NOC will get you the maximum points for work experience.

If your updates don't get approved by tomorrow's draw, it should only be about another 2 week's wait, which also means another 2 weeks to gather your paperwork.

Great, i should get the 2 reference letters without any problems. Would they question the gap between studies and work though? I now have a 2 year gap. I got most of the documents ready, just waiting for PC from the UK and Health check (they said I should wait till receiving ITA to arrange for that).

I look forward to the ROH Tim Hortons gatherings:)

It's definitely weird knowing when I will be there, but not where my husband will be, and not planning on having a real address until we have some idea of job location. The last thing we want to do is be on the wrong side of the greater Toronto area.
Same dilemma here, though even if my husband gets a job before we move we'll still want to live in a part of the city where I can get my own job without having an unreasonable commute. Add to that not having rented in years, and even then not in a competitive or expensive market, and we're very intimidated. I'm half-convinced we'll end up in a bug-infested hellhole unless we pay well over 2k/month. I'm hoping a few acquaintances I have in the area can point me to some good but affordable apartments, and we'll likely try using a realtor too.

Our backup plan if city life doesn't agree with us is to head over to the Kitchener-Waterloo area. That and the nearby cities sound a lot more like what we're used to, but they have fewer jobs and we want to try out city life anyway. That said, if my husband networks himself into a job we'll go wherever in Ontario that takes us. Staying in Ontario is pretty much a must for us though.

Application-wise, we have everything uploaded except for our FBI PCCs, which could arrive as early as today. I feel like we're at the top of a roller coaster and about to tip over the edge! When we took the first step of booking our IELTS tests back in January we had no reason to think we'd be at this point any time soon, if at all (our 435 wasn't bad, I mean, but we had absolutely no way in our own power to raise it beyond that). It's very surreal being here, and we're so grateful for this chance!

The 2 year gap you explain in personal history. The jobs for which you are not claiming points (no reference letters) you put in personal history. You will need to account for all your time in the past 10 years (or since age 18 if you're under 28).

Even I have 7-8 months gap after my graduation and then I worked for 1 year for which I only have experience letter. And for that job I'm not claiming any points. After that I worked for a company for 4 years and that was continuous work ex in same NOC. I have mentioned that and then my current job. So what should I do in this case? Please throw some light on this as well.
