Also, a draw this week would put things back in order in terms of CRS.
Thanks Lino.1. Swedish pcc : yes,go for it
2. Indian PCC : it can be obtained within a week time through passport seva Kendra,so it is better to wait till u get ita
3.USA :
PCC should be dated 'after you finally left the country' if you are no more residing there and should be dated within last six months if you are residing. So if you apply now, obviously FBI won't cover ur forthcoming stay period. It will work for you only if you get ur ita & file eAPR before you are required to travel again to USA...otherwise,apply as soon as you are back from ur trip

you say lived outside of home country. I have never been to my home country and havnt even visited at all! I do not need PCC for that am I correct? As far as I kno Canadian PCC isn't required for EE ...they have access to the info...
and anyway for stays lesser than six months duration it isn't required at all...
Take Indian PCC after leaving from India. Indian Embassy can give this within a month and mostly in 1-2 weeks depending upon your records provided by regional PSK.!! Best wishes. Thanks Lino.
US PCC
And my Indian PCC -
- My period of stay in the US is likely to be a year at least. So from what I understand, I should apply for US PCC when I am residing there. (Is it faster/easier doing in while in the US?)
- And this is valid only for 6 months from the date of issue?
Thanks again for taking the time to respond, truly appreciated.
- Does this also have to be taken after I leave India so that it covers my entire stay?
- Or can I take it now before I leave in October?
- How complicated is it to apply from outside India considering the fact that I will be vacating my residence - A longer processing time which would otherwise take only a week?
- How long is this valid?
Ha ha ha! Cruel, but worth considering - might save a lot of tears and heartache on both sidesI am going for the 'send them a postcard' method.
You do not need PCC in that scenario..you say lived outside of home country. I have never been to my home country and havnt even visited at all! I do not need PCC for that am I correct?
Mr.karnesh has already answered to ur queries. Thanks Lino.

Welcome Man! we dint find you even on the last draw day.Back in the ROH thread after a long time! Feels strange tbh. Since the inception of our whatsapp group, things have been moving slow here lol
In retrospect, wasn't smart to pick a new name while I was so pissed off that the password reset wasn't working for me.Ur profile name used to intigue me & I used to think that this was ur second try at Canada pr & was a reference to same..
myself had dreamed of moving to canada some 15+ years back and had to let it go as I couldn't see a way forward until it came back i the form of EE

We thought about it 15 years ago too. We qualified easily at that time. But we had some pressing near term issues to deal with. If I had known how much being old was penalized now, I might have tried anyway.Ur profile name used to intigue me & I used to think that this was ur second try at Canada pr & was a reference to same..

everything happens for a reason and whatever is meant to happen will happen in due time...We thought about it 15 years ago too. We qualified easily at that time. But we had some pressing near term issues to deal with. If I had known how much being old was penalized now, I might have tried anyway.
As you know I am in a similar position. Let's not call it 'being old' but look on the bright side and say we 'mature' candidates now know the value of time.We thought about it 15 years ago too. We qualified easily at that time. But we had some pressing near term issues to deal with. If I had known how much being old was penalized now, I might have tried anyway.
Oh My God.!! Mr. Karnesh. Don't use Mr..! Buddy, you are like a big brother to me.!Mr.karnesh has already answered to ur queries.
you can apply both PCCs from US once you are there...
I suggest u apply for both PCC once you land as you'll be filing eAPR from there and I hope you'll get ur ita before the six month validity of ur fbi PCC expire...as for Indian PCC obtained from there it will be valid so long as you don't make another visit to India before filing eAPR...
All the best...
you can check below link:- (if you have left UK and there is no plan to visit in near future then you can apply before ITA as well provided you've stayed more than 6 months there.!!)Guys has anyone applied for uk pcc from India. How to go about it? Is it to be applied before ITA or after ITA?
Thanks
