that's a pretty good score ....it's better u apply for your PCCs now itself if you've lived abroad....last heard someone who filed eAPR on 2nd Aug got PPR on 24th... :) ..
if PCC , experience letter ,pof are ready, you could file ur eAPR within a week of ita...
All the best to you... :)
Oh.. thanks man.. I've never lived abroad but still I'll try to get PCC and reference letters asap. I was under the impression that you have to apply for them only once ITA is received.. as the dates on them can have a say..but as per you, I am guessing that the dates don't matter..

Having said that, when you are applying for citizenship the case becomes problematic.
It is advisable to search for job and stay in particular province for the least 2 years.
No it does not become problematic - its immigration bs. And no, it is not advisable to stay in the province for 2 years - this is even bigger bs. That doesn't mean not giving a try to the province which nominated you in the first place, but in the end you settle where you think you can give the most.

if you haven't lived abroad,it may not be necessary...
for me,my Indian PCC,I applied through passport seva portal & got the same day on my visit to the centre as per the appointment given...however it's been almost 3 months since I've been chasing my Qatar PCC & it is still 10-15 days away...if I had waited for ita to start on it,I may haven't been able to get it in time...
in ur case you can wait for ITA

And since we are actively talking about PCC
Should have posted my query here instaed of creating a new post - My bad!

Where I am now.
I have done my IELTS and my ECA so far. My CRS still seems fairly low (despite a CLB9), in the early 400+ and I don't expect ITA anytime soon. However, I am hopeful on the OINP opening in the near future and I believe I have a responsibility to be ready with post-ITA docs if and when required.

Now, here comes my situation. (PCC)
I have had cumulative 6 months+ stay in the last 10 years in the US and in Sweden. I currently reside in India.
I have done my research on getting the PCC from all 3 countries but the confusion arises as I have an impending travel back to the US presumably by end of October/early November.
  • I shall apply for the Swedish PCC and that is likely to take a month or so.
  • If I apply for the FBI PCC (US) now and before I receive the PCC, if I have to travel to the US, then do I have to apply for a new FBI PCC after landing there for my CIC application?
  • Also if I apply for my Indian PCC now, and I end up travelling after receiving my PCC, do I need to reapply for the Indian PCC once I land in the US?

Is it even worth the effort thinking about getting the PCC (apart from Sweden obviously since I don't have a reason to go back there now) done now with the forthcoming travel in mind?
What are the alternatives that I should be looking at?

Since the wait-times for the PCCs are loooong, this is causing more concern than it should actually be.
Please suggest folks!

Although my CRS will drop to 422 on sept 15th. Now considering wether I should do the IELTS again to (maybe) get an extra 3 points for a CRS of 425.

Here is a thought, let me run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it!!
  • Create a Web Portal for the Yukon party, such that it becomes an annual event.
  • The site would be a one-stop resource for the planned party, and membership shall be based on invite only.
  • It would allow exclusive access to the Yukon event and help take in advice, and allow assignments of work for each member before/during the event.
  • It would maintain a Secretary General's position, inter alia, and nominate future aspirants to similar positions.
  • It would feature a pledge component, from willing to lend a hand during the event to contributing to crowd-fund it.
Among the first things, is to look for volunteers to work on:
  • Design and Development of the Website (any programmer in the house, with a few hours to spare?)
  • Design of a Logo for the Website/Flag for the Event (any Graphic designer willing to volunteer?)
We could collaborate on Trello. I hope to receive some response(s) soon, and many volunteers from this Ray of Hope.

PS: I wish I could reinstate my original account @xibalban, requesting the @admin didn't seem to work.
I am in... :) ;);)

Guyz any predictions for November rounds?

My CRS is 443. Done with IELTS (CLB 9). Will apply for WES next week and in Oct-17, will be able to get reference letter from current employer after completing two years.

I don't want to apply for any provincial nomination but i have a fear if CRS goes up by the time i will apply. There is no way i can increase my CRS as previous employers won't issue me reference letters (I was my own boss there so no point of getting it done from supervisor :p). Need some motivation!!

Another query, i think i will get my CPA membership until November. In that case, can i select Master/professional qualification? I currently have two bachelors. Selecting masters would increase my CRS to 450.

Considering the above, what would be your prediction on # of draws, draw size, and CRS for the rest of the year ?
That is a different thing and depends on % of acceptance of ITA. My prediction is that it will remain between 2,900 to 3,100 ITA with score moving +/- 2 if draw is after two weeks, increasing +5 upwards if draw is after three or more weeks and declining by -5 if draw is after a week.

Earlier, you suggested that CIC is developing twice the processing capacity. Do you have any reason to expect more one week draws?

1. Swedish pcc : yes,go for it
2. Indian PCC : it can be obtained within a week time through passport seva Kendra,so it is better to wait till u get ita
3.USA :
PCC should be dated 'after you finally left the country' if you are no more residing there and should be dated within last six months if you are residing. So if you apply now, obviously FBI won't cover ur forthcoming stay period. It will work for you only if you get ur ita & file eAPR before you are required to travel again to USA...otherwise,apply as soon as you are back from ur trip
-----
@Po0oyaa
any additions in points will come in handy esp nearing 400...missing a draw by 2 points could mean a longer wait..imagine someone who sat at 412 when it hit 413....u know where we are now...
----
@srvsh.pawar
PCC is valid for six months and I really hope and feel u should be having ur eAPR by then...so it may not be so bad to have it also ready with you... :)

Earlier, you suggested that CIC is developing twice the processing capacity. Do you have any reason to expect more one week draws?
Capacity building will take time and it will be more focused on processing applications already in system. So we may have a back to back draws in every 2 months but not for every month.

The processing will also have major impact on next year applications.
