Experts I need your help please!
I just came across an article in CIC news about Saskatchewan nominee program:
https://www.cicnews.com/2017/07/saskatchewan-express-entry-sub-category-reopens-with-expanded-occupations-list-079413.html
As I read through this article, I found out that they're expanding their in-demand occupation list and they've included "Chemical Technologist" with NOC 2211.
My current NOC in my express entry profile is "2145" which is a petroleum engineer; in fact, I'm not a petroleum engineer but my profession "MUD Engineer" falls under petroleum engineering field and I even found my profession within the announced professions of the NOC 2145; I hold a Bsc degree in Chemical Engineering.
My question is, can I change my NOC to 2211 claiming that my work duties and responsibilities also fall under the "Chemical Technologist" which it belongs to NOC 2211?
Also, are there any risks involved when changing the NOC knowing that my NOC stated with 2145 NOC's professions?
P.S. Chemical Engineer is also stated within NOC 2211 occupation list.
I have indeed read the duties of professions belong to 2211 NOC and I also found them quite similar to my actual profession which is " MUD Engineer".
I hope you guys reassure me before I go ahead and change my noc so as to apply for Saskatchewan nominee program.
