Most of us here are multilingual and don't have English as our first language :)

Very firmly tongue in cheek WM, I'd love to be multilingual! (trying) to learn German at the moment.

I posted up a couple of days back about the process I went through when revising for IELTS and types of revision - it isn't straight forward, that's for sure.

Off topic: I have just one question. How...how you people are getting 9 in IELTS?? :confused:o_O

firstly you need not score IELTS 9...all IELTS scores are converted into CLB equivalent.
CLB10 ( IELTS : L8.6/R8/W7.5/S7.5) gets you 136 points for 1st language+ 50 points on skill transferability (additional on ur education+work experience points)
CLB9 ( IELTS : L8/R7/W7/S7) gets you 124+50.

you can achieve these scores if you have a good command over English,by practicing practice tests repeatedly and improving urself from IELTS point of view.

below post you'll find some inputs and, there are many more in IELTS thread..

Why German? Why not French, considering that Canada is bilingual? ;)

Finally, the much awaited draw, post the 6th June changes, is dawning. This draw will decide where we stand. We can no longer predict the cut-off, that's become old fashioned now. Prediction must be on the number of ITAs issued, and that dictates the cut-off.
Today's draw:
  • If ITAs ≈ 3800, CRS: 421
  • If ITAs ≈ 4200, CRS: 415
  • If ITAs ≈ 4500, CRS: 412
With my score, I'm looking forward to the score distribution more than an ITA today.

Which ever number it is, just remember that the number of ITAs deducts from the overall amount of ~72000. So keep that in mind. I cannot remember accurately but I think the amount of ITAs to date were around 48-49k. So only about 22,000 ITAs left. That's about 7 more draws (3000-3500 ITAs per draw) before the conclusion of 2017 too.

I'm confused, what do you imply? Are we supposed to be glad, or depressed?

Issued ITAs don't equal to issued PRs for sure! They is declining rate of 40% or more! They can issue so much more ITAS to fill in their yearly qouta!
