Ya mate i know i have to. Thanks for reminding. Sometimes d frustration overrides d patience.

i feel some times that im here at the wrong time of my life since age is not on my side. But then i gather some encouragement form u

I know what you mean. But I've a different perspective - I believe I'm doing this at the right time in my life.

Agreed that I got very less points for age but I've had time to earn a Masters degree and age and experience have given me a very good command over language - I scored CLB10 in IELTS in the first attempt.

Last but not the least, I don't have to worry about asking my relatives for money because I've sufficient funds, thanks to more than a decade of slogging away at temporary, freelance and permanent jobs.

The point of this rather long post is that there's no right or wrong time to make positive changes in our life.

Good luck.

i wholeheartedly agree. the points you lose with age can be easily recovered with more experience and diplomas. the only thing I believe you just cannot do is revolve your entire life around this selection process. do not lose sight of your goals.

Although i have only drank 3 times in nearly 4 years, that too since last Christmas eve, i can assure you that i am definitely gonna get alcohol poisoning on that day and following day i will come to work at 5 PM without any notice and give my resignation letter. Oh no, that has to be done day later cos i would need one day to recover hahahaha.

Seriously?! Only 3 times in 4 years?! What are you?! A saint?! ;)

And most important thing "You enlighten us with your wisdom and experience and share a lot of information in this forum"

Thanks @Wandering Mind you are an inspiration

It's not that easy to recover the points you lose for being older. Those a decade younger than me have nearly 80 more points than I do :)

I would have definitely gone crazy if i were one lol. Actually i was completely sober since late 2013 till last Christmas eve. Was a binger before that. So last Christmas eve i was on a date and for the sake of date i drank. So at least i will not have to feel any regret after the ITA or PPR cos my non-drinking spell has already been broken :) I'm buying JW Double Black lol

Last time when we had a such a long time of gap between two draws, there were two back to back draws. So I'm expecting same on 6/21 and 6/28. Hit like if you think so...
i am expecting there will be draw on 21st and then 28th, i think in 21st draw CRS would be 420 below and 28 would be 408-413 and in draw thereafter 403-407, it will reach to 400 in 3rd week of july

It's pretty obvious that there will be a draw soon. Good luck to everyone who's in the pot and congratulations to those who get ITA - then the real work begins to get everything together and submitted ;)

Out of interest - are many of you on here using a 3rd party to manage your application? I must admit, when I first tried to decipher the process it was a little confusing but it has become clearer over time (obviously I'm not using a 3rd party). I obtained a quote previously and It was around £4000 GBP and then CIC costs on top! extortionate!

Regarding entry points there has been a clear decrease in the number required to get ITA since February / March, I guess this will keep decreasing until CIC meet their objectives for immigration and numbers must then be throttled back - when that happens is anyone's guess.

I have a question regarding points for age. I turn 32 in 2 weeks, meaning I would lose 5 points from my CRS - Am I correct to assume I will lose 5 points once I turn 32 from my profile CRS score for all future draws?

Thanks in advance

Pete

Hello Everyone,

From what i could read in posts above , other forums CRS score is expected to increase for the next draw due to changes made on June 6th. I stand at CRS 441 as per CIC Points Calculator

Do I still stand a chance in the next draw ? ( Last one was 413 so not sure how much would it increase)

I think at 441 you are in a pretty good position! I cant see the score increasing 28 points between draws (I'm sat on 437 at the moment)

Edit - I've just had a look at the previous draws, seems to be on average 10 points or lower
