I already got my PCC
Is that alright if we get PCC done before getting ITA? I know medicals should be done after ITA but not sure about PCC. How long is it valid?

If it is for some country where you have lived in past and are not currently present there. Its better to get it before ITA itself. You never know how much long the whole process can take.

The validity of PCC is dependent on the country from which you are obtaining it. Usually, it is valid for 180 Days or 6 months.

PCC from the country you have lived more than 6 months, you may obtain before ITA as it will not expire if you do not re-enter that country. For the country of residence, it is better to obtain after ITA or near to submission of application. As CIC will only accept PCC issued within the last 6 month.

Medicals should also be done after ITA and near to application submission date. As the date of expiry for medicals may also be your date before which you have to land in Canada.

I hope this helps. :)

Hi! Complete newbie here, so do forgive the immaturity of my question. I have submitted my profile, and applied for PCC, as apparently, it takes quite a while. Could someone tell me how long it takes to get the medical exam and whether it should be done before receiving an ITA since CIC gives us the option?

Yes PCC can be obtained before ITA and so do Upfront Medicals. If you are 100% sure that you will obtain ITA in the next draw and have all other documents ready to submit then you can go for it otherwise it is better to get them after ITA.

Medical Exam takes only 1 Day but may take the time to set an appointment.

Thank you my friend! Judging from the trend I am hopeful, but you never know. Good luck to everyone waiting on tomorrow(or whenever the next draw is).

Any prediction on whether there will be a draw tomorrow, Bill?
I hope there will be next draw in the next 12 Hours but let's see what's CIC Plans for us. It is my prediction that if there is draw today then CIC will at least clear all people in the range of 411-420. It is my guess score will be 409 +/- 2 but many people think it will go up.

I think you may be right. EE includes skilled(FSW,CEC,FST),Atlantic and PNP.
Skilled and Atlantic make up 73.7k.
PNP make up 51k, which may be through EE or separate.
I looked at 2016 immigration report. They have achieved 95% of target which was 47k.
But EE report shows only 8.8k came through EE. This means 20% came through EE.
Assuming 25% come through EE in 2017, out of 51k, we will have 12.75k.
So PRs through EE will be 73.7k+12.75k=86,450.
Using your 1.2 ratio of ITAs to PRs, we will need 103,750 ITAs.

35973 ITAs issued so far in 10 draws in 4 months.
67777 ITAs remain.
Assuming 20 more draws in remaining 8 months, we have
3389 ITAs per draw.

Note: It is assumed PNPs increase from 20% to 25% this year.
Thanks mate for the info.

Thanks, mate this is a very logical analysis. Also in line with CIC Policies. +1
