I had to update my application yesterday. I had 452 and changed to get 457. But the system did not computed yet the change. Do I still get invited?

As your score is already above the 423 so you will get the ITA

Congrats to all who got through. Good luck to the rest (including myself ;D)

The good news is that CIC is keeping the number of ITAs near the 4000 mark, going according to what some people predicted here. It seems the pattern will keep going throughout the year.

423 - anyone investigated why it didnt go down? Provinces nominations?
Might be because many of the applicants rejected the ITA's of 19/04 expecting to be re-invited on this round. There are more than 1k aplicants standing on 450+ CRS points on 28/04.

Provincial nominations might also have influenced this trend since the majority of the applicants stay on this 451-600 interval.

I just came here to tell everyone do not panic. Almost 1.2K above 450 means PNPs were issued. It will come back down in the next draw.
Also, the number in lower segments has not increased significantly. Just a slight raise in candidates between 400-10. And only 2K between 410-420. That is really great for people who already in the pool!

And it will go below 410 in the next draw!

Hello everybody!! A quick reply please!! I edited my job details a few hours back. I had to change the months after receiving the experience letter. It has nothing to do with my score though. I m at 435. Will I get the ita or not?

Only strange thing is there were 453 people in the 420 - 430 range. Even if the higher numbers did not change, that means around 1800 people entered the pool or got their scores updated over the last 5 days. That is significant.

Re: Why should we expect score to go down?

from 2016 to 2017, economic migration target ( FSW +FST +CIC ) has been raised from 58,400 to 71,700, about 25%

Now ITAs have been increased two-fold between the period of Jan to April in 2016 and 2017.

In my opinion, the increase in ITAs is not sustainable that is, ITAs cannot increase by 100% if the quota increases by only 25%. What will eventually happen is that with time, ITAs will go down and the cut off will start increasing.

Of course, I would much prefer that my analysis is incorrect and I receive an ITA! Can someone counter that argument please?
Turns out I was at least partially correct! CRS has gone up a notch. But then ITA is still high, contrary to what I thought.

What's your score? Are you through this time or still waiting?
