I do wish points didn't start dropping until after 35 instead of 30. On the FSW eligibility scale of 100, your age doesn't start hurting you until 36. Maybe this is a change that will happen this year with regard to figuring points. I am in a similar scenario to you (age, experience, language, and education) and it does sting a little that my current age hurts me so much. I have at least 25 working years left in me! Best of luck and stay positive!
Well yes, we even have the same crs score....We can even squeeze 30 years, haha... :D

Also, we now have a little idea of why CIC was waiting. They don't want the CRS to keep spiraling down. By extending the draw interval by a week, they were able to meet their target ITAs without a significant drop in CRS
That is correct. There was a consistent drop of 6-7 points in CRS and now suddenly it increased by 7 points and still they managed to issue 3500+ ITAs. I wonder how many people actually get through the whole process.

Maybe they intend to bounce between 430-450 using this tactic? Maybe another quick draw before a longer wait?

I wonder if when Mr Trump stops talking about making changes to H1B visas if less people will be applying to Canada. The world we are in now, where many people are trying to leave their home countries either due to war or fear of being kicked out for visa reasons, is causing Canada to look quite rosy....so more competition....

Anyway, I'd be happy to give up my potential spot to someone running away from their country for fear of being killed....So I am putting things into perspective..

You were the first one I thought of when I saw the cut off was 441. I'm so sorry we both missed it. Let's pray for 58!
Bro trust me, I thought of you as well. Hopefully we'll get a decent draw next time and we'll get in!!

I think the good part is it has not increased by huge margin..the CRS is kind of around 440...even after 3 weeks not many people were there with higher CRS. So I see this as a positive...April draws will be crucial to know exact level where CRS range will be this year. I believe June onwards we will have PNP nominees in few draws.

So in a span of 23 days, there were 3,749 new profiles added. That's 163 profiles per day, with a score of 441 or higher. If the trend continues but with only 14 days of interval in between the draws and about 3500+ invites , I predict 2,282 profiles with 441 and higher, and another 1500 profiles at 440 or less. Which will mean the cut off to be about at 435-437.

Please give your suggestions

When did the last IELTS result came out? And at what time are we expecting new IELTS result?

Here's food for thought. A lot of people entered the last draw because they got their IELTS results. People who took the exam on Feb 11 and Mar 4 would have all been in this last draw. In addition to PNPs, this would explain why a lot of people were in and why the score went up. Since the next IELTS is on March 25, these people will not have gotten their results until April 7th at the earliest.

I think this means a lot less people will be entering the draw coming up, and assuming they draw on or before April 5th, the scores should definitely come down.

Just a thought :)

I was one of the ppl that went to 448 from 432 because of ielts results in March.

As long as they keep draw sizes 3500+ and 2 weeks intervals, it should drop.

Based on the pnp only draw back in nov, half of todays draws could've been pnps and thus the reason for the increase.

It's really a shock today, the time of the draw ... the number of ITA's, it's just unbelievable. The CRS went up ???? What a mess
Anyway ....

Based on this draw i think we will see less draws in the next months, though I hope the opposite.

I think next draws will be like this : (I hope so)
3nd draw - March 3400 430
1st draw - April 3250 424
2nd draw - April 3100 418
1st draw - May 3100 410
2nd draw - May 3200 399, so i think we are going to see this for the first time, the CRS score below 400 in may 2017 8)

.... Still waiting for the end of year report 2016

That might be true, but falling below 450 was unheard of last year...Seems like they plan to make more changes to the point structure to include those that will be truly able to sustain themselves, so you never really know...

One thing I notice with their last change of changing job offer from 600 points to 50 points is that there is still a loop hole to getting 600 points with a job offer. Many PNP's require job offer, so if you get a job offer and its not enough to give you enough points all you need is to apply for a PNP from that province. If CIC decides to correct this loop hole then its possible the scores will adjust further...

I am 36 years old with 3 science degrees, a well documented work history...living in the US with provable stability both job wise, financial wise, credit wise and everything else, yet I am scrambling, barely scraping at the bottom of the crs scores that they invite (437)....Honestly not to be biased but everyone I speak to (family and friends) assumes it should be too easy for me to move to Canada, only Canada point system thinks I am not that great...
Why would that be? Because you seem to be able to score more than me even though you are 437... would it be because of the age range? I'm just 2 years younger than you. It doesn't make much sense to me.

I know I am sounding like a whiny baby, but I guess being 36 years old is a dilemma as I have lost a whole 40 points (my current crs points are 437). I get the focus on age, because the older you are the less number of years you have to contribute to the economy. But, here is another way to look at it. I am 36, with a 14 year career, which means that I will enter the market with presumable more skills, more experience and a higher salary - which means higher taxes. I also have more money saved up, and is far better off stability wise than say 10 years ago...Yet my age is used as a disadvantage...I could understand if I am five years away from retirement...sucks so badly...ok end of whining.... ;D ;D ;D
I totally understand! Same here! I am 33 years old, 10 years experience, CLB 9, bachelors degree and in my application I have 3 dependents, my husband who also has bachelors degree, CLB 9 and 8 years experience, and we are bringing our 2 kids with us, which means, we will look for jobs immediately after settling, paying for higher taxes, kinder garden and everything that having a family of 4 brings. And for all this I have CRS 408, I am devastated :'( With all above mentioned, in FSW program my points are 77/100, age is differently calculated in CRS points ::)

Yeah, how are you able to score 480 then??? I have maxed the IELTS scores getting CLB 10 in all areas. I have a Masters degree (well two but it doesn't matter)....I have maxed out the experience. How are you able to score 480??? I have a spouse non-accompanying but that shouldn't matter right? Once he is non-accompanying I don't lose any points.
