Not at all risky. Some PPs offer upfront medical. This will just give them less time to land in Canada once they receive COPR.
Based on the below clause from CIC website that is why I said is risky.

Medical exams

Do not complete any medical exam until you get an invitation to apply. You must have a medical exam before you can become a permanent resident. Your family members must also have one, even if they are not coming with you.

We will not approve your permanent resident application if your health:

is a danger to Canada’s public health or safety, or
would cause too much demand on health or social services in Canada.
When the panel physician completes the medical exam, they will either give you an information printout sheet, or an IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form. You must provide a copy the document they gave you when you apply online.

Note:The results of your exam must be valid at the time you submit your application for permanent residence. For this reason, it is a good idea to complete the exam as close as possible to the date you submit your online application.

Got it in a week since I live in the UK. International postage takes longer. I started IELTS in October, WES and PCCs in November, chasing employers for reference letters in December. I got my IELTS score in February, PCCs in November, reference letters in January, WES last week, entered the pool over the weekend. I have booked medical next week. I have scanned all my documents, converted them into PDF and merged them into documents of less than 4MB. I have made an excel sheet of my travel history, work history and personal history. Only thing left is medical, bank statement and the much coveted ITA. I have booked medical next week and I aim to submit my eAPR at the end of this month.
Should we add the personal/travel history from childhood? or is it enough to add from 18 years of age ?

thanks

This draw is taking time. Going to 4weeks since previous draw which is unprecedented.

I read that but when I rang the PP, they said you can do upfront for EE. For everything else, you need a medical request. I have booked mine next week in case there is no draw tmrw or the cut off is too high that I dont get an ITA.

From the time you turned 18 or the last 10 years whichever is later.

Hey All,

I spoke to a Canadian immigration attorney around the first week of March, anticipating a drop in CRS points and being issued an ITA(My score is 425).

I was very surprised by something he had to say. He mentioned that the draws were monthly which is very strange, given that there were at least two or three draws that took place every month since Express entry started.

I really hope what he said is not true!! If the draws happen monthly, I don't think i'll get an invite anytime soon. :'(

Thank you for the kind words! I can't retake IELTS since I'm already at CLB 9. I've lost out points on age :( Will lose 10 more points if I don't get an ITA by September this year :(

All the best to you! Hope you get an ITA this time round.
Dear,
I entered pool with 409 in January 2016. Lost 5 in August 2016, remains 404... No embarrassment.

I had CLB 10 in S/L & CLB 9 in R/W.

Try for PNP. That's best option for ppl like us.

I received Nomination from OINP last week (after almost 12 months wait).

Message is: Don't lose hope
