Let me tell you, I felt so down after the no draw yesterday, but you guys have me chuckling here with these comments

If I had $1 for every time I have refreshed the draw releases page on the CIC website since March 1st, I would have enough for proof of funds!! Lmao :)

I feel let down and disappointed too. I got my IELTS score in February and incorrect WES in January. Had WES not made a mistake in my name, I would have submitted my application by now.

You are not the only one feeling down.

As soon as my EE profile was done, my lawyer told me I had enough points to receive an ITA on the next draw... and then what I get? 2 weeks maybe 3 without a draw.

CIC is getting lots of traffic and hits from our refreshes. They should waive off the PoF as a compensation or reward us with direct PR or citizenship for our patience.

If I had a lawyer, he would tell me the same. I am doing this on my own so I was telling this to myself that my invitation would come yesterday.

Should I get an upfront medical? CRS 451, a little unsure now

I booked my medical for 28th march in the hope of getting my ITA on 22nd. I have to proceed with my medical as the clinic has taken my credit card details at the time of making the appointment and will deduct £50 per person for any cancellation or amendment of the appointment.

I have a 437 and I did mine last week! Had to travel over 6 hours to the closest doctor. My hope is that I'll be able to apply within a few days of getting my ITA since I'll have all my paperwork ready. Best of luck!

I'm the in same boat. Have everything ready and just waiting for the ITA.

I hope you are not called for any additional tests else you will have to make that trip again.

Hi, I've a question for those of you who have received an NOI from any of the provinces - What is your primary occupation?

I'm asking because my occupation (writer/editor) is not considered to be specialised or in demand in Canada or anywhere else in the world. Is it still possible for someone like me to get a PNP. My CRS is very low - 403.

Thanks in advance.

My wife comes under that category and it is indeed not in demand to get a PNP. Once you get a foot in the door, it's smooth sailing but getting that foot in the door is a struggle. It took her a while to get a job in the field in London and we are expecting the same to happen in Canada too. To get a job in the media, you need to know the people, place and politics and to understand that you have to be living in there. There is a whatsapp group for canada media jobs that she is a part of. I am assuming media here. You could be a technical writer / editor / author too. Apologies if I have misunderstood.

If I go for my medical now, I'm sure he'll list me as a desperate, depressed candidate lol

The clinic asked me if I had my ITA and I said that I am expecting it on 22nd. I will have no face to show. I think you are in a better position.
