The ironical thing is that I have already registered for the IELTS this Saturday (the fourth try) in the hope of maximizing the IELTS score. So I am also getting ready for the IELTS now while entertaining myself with the thought that maybe there will be no need. What a dilemma!

I think there will be a big draw tomorrow...coz I guess only 10%-15% people (out of 2017 total) are probably get PR through old paper base applications.. rest will get through EE...so to cover quota of 2017 they need big draws like 3500-4000

WHat is your score? I am also in the gulf region.
There will be almost nil or few hundreds of paper based applications. Two years are good enough for a normal case to get a PR. All those paper based cases which are in waiting would be having some type of problem. Chances of turning those in green are remote.
