sure i agree with u mate but then its ray of hope! some how i feel it should drop by 7-8 points without any logic.vaibhav007us said:Although im not sure, but by logic, as the score decreases, number of people at each point would increase, so doesn't 7-8 point drop seems a little unreasonable to you?

I am a newbie here. Joined last week and have already benefitted so much from this forum. I am way behind at 388, 5 points got deducted last month as well. I narrowly missed on CBL 9, got band less in the listening. No wonder my sister keeps saying I don't listen well lol. IELTS test date booked for 4 March and gonna prepare for CBL 10 which will take my score to 445. If not 439 with CBL 9. Also learning French, currently in level 4 but not sure if I will be able to get to CBL 5 in French but gotta be hopeful and keep trying.
I have a feeling for the first time since the launch of EE, the CRS cut off will get below 450 benchmark in the next draw. Its hard to predict what will be the exact cut off, but its got to go below 450 this time. No matter what next draw won't be my time, but I believe I will be in position for ITA by the 60th one. I would like to wish all the very best to the potential candidates, who are close to last CRS cutoff. Cheers.
dont know if im correct r not but i feel the no. of candidates between 400-450 might have reduced post the new point system that were given to cec and many might have moved to over and above 450 and most got ITA in the past draws. As per last year report there were around 13.5k applications between 400-450 crs.akkipandey said:last draw was 3500 ITA and the points reduced by 6. Meaning there were approx. 583 ITA per point.
Now even if we assume 650 people on each point, assuming the no. of ITA would continue to be in the range of 3-3.5 k, it would come to a total of 3250 ITA with a 5 point drop.
So I am counting on 448 points cut off.

Hi Santo,
Thanks for your kind words. I felt so alone in pursuit of Canadian PR. Since I joined the forum last week, it has helped me in many way. I have my sister in Ontario with her family. They would do anything if they could. Moving to another province is not an option for them due to kids. So moving forward IELTS will make or break for me. Also got commit to the French I am learning. Again! Thanks a lot, I appreciate it very much BTW are you through with the ITA or hoping to get in the next draw? Cheers

The number of candidates between 400-450 must have surely reduced as a result of students getting those extra points. However, we should also remember that a lot of students were also standing at the high 300s who would have moved to between 400-450 as a result of getting extra points post November 19th changes. Additionally, a lot of new candidates have also come into the pool over the past one year. However, IMO, the number of candidates between 400-450 would not be a lot more than what we saw in the year end report of 2015, probably an increase of 10 percent.jackdawn said:dont know if im correct r not but i feel the no. of candidates between 400-450 might have reduced post the new point system that were given to cec and many might have moved to over and above 450 and most got ITA in the past draws. so the ppl on each point would be much less than 583 of last draw
