I noticed that some new applicants have really higher scores than 450. But I don't know what percentage they represent in the pool. Still waiting for the 2016 report to have a clue.

most of the people enter the pool when they feel like that now they have chance to get selected (lets say improvement in IELTS result or due to any other factor) and have good enough points (around 430).

As we draw closer to 450 (and below), the number of applicants that have that kind of numbers will naturally increase. Especially under 450 there will be a lot of people (myself included) that are there, waiting for their chance all these years. So if they keep up with the high invitation numbers (over 3k) I believe the number will keep dropping... just don't expect huge drops from now on imo. It'll be slowly.

My points used to be 455, but dropped to 450 last month because of age.

Will I be given another chance?

For age, you loose (5) points as soon as you reach that particular month of your birth-date or right after your birth-date.

So if your birth-date is Mar 20, you start loosing points in your CRS from Mar 1 or from Mar 21st - can someone clarify on this? Thanks.

Losing the points is your birthday gift from CIC.

The score decreases in the night of your birthday.

Got my score updated from 434 to 459 today ... I have hopes in this one

Got extra 13 points today, was sitting at 451 and now points are 464. Work experience starts from 17 March 2015, which means my points were suppose to increase in March 2017 with 2 years of work experience and come to 464, but they have already increased today.

ANY IDEA ON THIS? is it a glitch ? have checked profile details 4 times... really confused about this.

Our one year of experience also increased before the expected date. I guess it's normal.
