I have a feeling the Cut off score is going to go up this time . Since everybody is posting improved scores after IELTS .the reason why it went down to 459 was because there wasn't much difference between last 2 draws. it will be around or above 470

I doubt that. The score will continue to go down. Although I suspect that it will go up mid-February when more students enter the pool, who graduated in December 2015

I don't get why people have ielts today? Is it a special day?

i think today was the first result day of 2017 .so guessing lots of people might have taken the first test of 2017 , hence , it will improve their score and bump them up.

I think there's not so many of them to make a significant change.

No doubt you may be right but this happens every time IELTS result comes and i think this gets factored in everymonth. So in my view this should not be a shiw stopper for reduction in scotes. But yes, reduction rate may be slow now... may God give us light at the end of the tunnel

According to all the previous draws there are around 500 - 600 people in average receiving Invitations based on PNP/LMIA every draw.(remember LMIA no longer has 600 points this number might be low as well)

Assuming that and adding another 600 people with scores above 459 getting added in to the pool in these 2 weeks (Which is a maximum possibility of ppl with improved Ielts scores or students with Canadian education or what so ever).

Total is 600 +600 = 1200 (or lets say 1400 at Max)

Unless the draw size is less than or equal to 1500... lots of people sitting on 450+ should receive an ITA in this next weeks draw...

But we have to keep in mind that number of people increases with each lesser score.

Btw is anyone aware if the scores for spouse education incase of 2 or more bachelor degree changed to 8 instead of 9 in nov16 changes?

Realistically i believe there are around 800 - 1000 ppl with 459+...

so the points drop is obvious... (Unless as i previously stated the draws are in and around 1500), which is highly unlikely looking at the trend

I was reading some other threads and a lot of people have drastically increased their IELTS scores and now are above 459... so dont know what will happen... keeping fingers crossed...

I think there are more than 800-1000 people with 459+. Maybe 2000 after many people just updated their IELTS scores!

Cheers
