When it comes to POF from a spouse, the account can be also yours or a shared account with your wife.

Hi Vensak, can proof of funds be shown in individual accounts of my wife and my account. Or it has to be a joint account (shared account as u mentioned) with my wife if im showing in two accounts.

Just quoting my immigration consultant: The funds should be on an account held by the main applicant. If you are married you can also have it on a shared account. If it is not shared then it should be with the main applicant.

3k ita, 450 crs

Hopefully, but this might not be feasible if a draw doesnt take place on Wednesday.

Hi Folks, It would be 24 hours by 1:00PM GMT+1 since i updated my spouses test scores and till now the required points has not reflected in my profile. Any advise?

Also, on the CIC page it says a maintenance activity will take place on the 17th, this makes it less likely that a draw will take place on the 18th. What do you guys think?

I would say very highly unlikely to have a draw this Wednesday.

They issued less ITAs because the reduced the quota to get more refugees in. And by all means they want to make EE as a sole criteria for all economic immigrants EE is still running 75-80% when EE will operate fully we will see 3500-4000 ITAs as a norm because they have to acheive their target as well. They dont care about the scores they care about number of ITAs to be given. And people with 400+ Scores are good also they have all the things that can label them as a economic immigrants.

And Scores will fall because in the past every one needed only 67/100 points to qualify for immigration but now thats not the case so the scores will fall for those who have high human core capital points and mind you any score above 400 is good.

I completely agree with your statement that anybody having core CRS of 400+ is a good prospect. However, I'm not sure if they can keep drawing 3000+ candidates in each draw. The 2017 immigration targets are for around 71000 PRs. If we assume that 80% of those candidates will come through EE, which is around 57000. Further, if there are 1.5 PRs granted for every ITA, then that makes it 38000 ITAs. If they keep drawing 3000+ candidates every alternate week, then they will exhaust this quota pretty soon.

Yes quota for Skilled workers (FSW, FST, CEC) is 71,700. Lets say 38000 ITAs.

But I'm not clear on something. There were sources on this forum that said CIC would start to fill up 2017 quota in September/October 2016.
Is it possible around 18K ITAs for 2017 (roughly) is already issued - calculated from October 2016??

That leaves us with only 20K more to go?

First of all I have not said that they will keep issueing 3000+ ITAs bi weekly. But before 1500 ITAs were norm when they said EE is running 50%. The drops in number of ITAs come because of refugees not because they thought that we have issued lots of ITAs.

My point is that now EE is running at 75-80% as they said that from 2017 majority of the candidates will come through EE so with 50% they were issueing 1500 so now we can expect 2500 ITAs to be norm which is still a healthy number. And Quota does not depend of NO. Of ITAs it depends on number of people landed lots of people who received ITAs in jan 2016 or even in nov-dec 2015 are still waiting for their visas so they are not translated into 2016 quota.

And lots of people decline ITAs because they are not ready or they have enough points to guarantee them an ITA in next draw and lots of people decline because both husband and wife got ITAs so 1 declines so we cant never judge an accurate number of invites. So 3500-4000 ITAs are the number when EE operates fully.

You are forgetting that there are 51K seperate PNPs quota is well. And that also comes through EE.

That was the "X" I was missing thanks!

Then at least 2000+ ITA draws are real to expect until they exhaust the quota (lets say September 2017 when they would start issuing ITAs for 2018 quota)

so excited for this year!!

I was checking on the immigration website, but in this case it was not explicitely answered. What I have found is this statement from an immigration lawyer:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/faq-settlement-funds-canada-immigration-manoj-palwe.
We know from other cases that shared account are allowed.

Anyone expecting draw on Jan 18th?

I am at 450.
Should I expect that GOLDEN EMAIL on Jan 25th or Feb 8th? :D

I believe 25 Jan.. I believe CRS would touch 450 n coming draw, if not then max in couple of.

Wat say guys?? Any facts on hand??

The cut-offs have followed same trend as last year. They have dropped in January to 450s in January, and then shot up again in the coming months. Also they have done three draws in last January too. First two draws a week apart, and third draw after two weeks from second draw.

http://www.canadavisa.com/express-entry-invitations-to-apply-issued.html

From March, it has shot up again with smaller draws. I am not sure if this year would be the same case as lots of and lots students would be entering pool as they complete one year of experience going forward. I don't see a reason why it would keep going down even up to 400 if they keep drawing 1500. In 2015, there were no refugees and there have been consistent 1500 draws, and the score has stayed between 450-480.

The wild card this year is the change of points made on 19 November. As a result, trends may look quite different this year. Live in hope.
