1500 applicants is the long term average EE draw. What was happening last month before the score changes was more or less accumulation of applications before the end of the year to fullfill the quota (they had most likely predicted some technical issues in this change).
That is where my assumption is comming from.

Anything from 12:00-15:00 ET usually.

That makes sense. The increasing number was possibly because of year end and quota fulfilment. However the numbers will in general be a bit higher in following years as they are increasing the immigrant intake.

I disagree. It has been a month since the last proper draw. It was CRS 470 on Nov 16. The cutoff score of the next coming round shall be higher than 470.

It might be, it might not be. All this is guesswork anyway. Often when people have been very sure of how things will go, it has gone another way. Only from March of this year, it must have seemed like people here are getting things "right" because the scores haven't budged from the 480s every other draw until October.

Same here, but I am trying to ignore it as well, though that is not working. Now I want this thing to be over with fast. Just let us know what it is, so we can either be overjoyed or wait another fortnight.
