Oh oh... sounds like the people who are waiting for OINP need to wait until Jan 2017 then...

Please read this story. Does this guy makes sense?

I also beleive one thing that if OINP decides to resume nomination it will be in from January there is no use of taking them in december since they have backlogs plus winters.

Many things written may be true but well time will confirm what's in store for us.

This OOPNP site really baffles me. Its posts are contradictory to its own previous one. Every article they mention that they have someone in OINP who is leaking out information. C'mon you gotta be kidding and minting money on people's sentiments. How can information leak out of a federal government office that is related to immigration ? Isn't it a breach of confidentiality. And look at the previous prediction on Oct 5th of theirs- forget the CRS score..The draw itself didn't take place ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Also, last time they said that there will be mid year report for 2016. Though, 16 days have passed....nothing seems to be coming out of CIC/IRCC.

They are just re-telling this forum gossips and speculations, nothing new)

As per their current prediction of having higher CRS in 45th draw and nominations being postponed till Jan 2017 is also contradictory. More nominations leads to higher CRS and if it were to b posponed then CRS should come down a bit.

From what was told by official representative of Ontario, they do have quota for 2016 full. But what was not specified, if that means enough applicants for 2016 or if that means PNP. At the same time they have stated that their French stream is not full yet. They want to import 5% of French speakers.

yes. Agree with Sluffy. It may be many of the usernames belong to them and they may be one of us by raising questions, doubts and then giving the point of view....:) :D

I am overly concerned how some people come up with these figures....Does anyone knows the number of people in the pool to start with???

For how long OINP remains open when it opens?

Correct me if I'm wrong. According to this http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html, it seems that OINP accepted 5,500 people as per its 2016 quota from January 4 (news published on November 16, 2015) to February 16 (news published on May 9, 2016).

So.. that was 5500 people within 1.5 month?

I wonder how many people in the pool right now with scores 400+ since applications have been pilling up for monthSSS now...

According to this https://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.cerc.ca/resource/resmgr/government_relations/Express_entry_national_stake.pdf
around 1% of total people in the pool has CRS 450+
and ~25% total pool has CRS 400 - 449...

I wonder what will happen if OINP cannot take all CRS 400+ people at once?! They will prioritize people who entered the pool first? (first come first serve basis)

Any theory?

Your theory and calculations led me to believe this article here -

Try reading it, i know some of it may not make sense but it may happen soon.

I really hope cut off point is NOT CRS 450!!! 440 might be OK!!! CRS 440 - 449 is a bit less than 5%, which sounds reasonable, no?! OMG i'm sitting at 441, that's why....

Correct me if I am wrong - Annual quota of 5500 refers to nominations and not no. of applications recieved. OINP has a quota of nominating around 5500 approx this year.

1. 5500 PNP nomination is the quota for Ontario for all type of nominations (including French speaker, graduates or others). Human capital will be most likely even lower than 5000 applicants

2. When reading assumption on the article, I do not think, that Ontario will have that many problems to keep their PNP inside their province. In order to pass such law they would need some amends of federal laws as well.

3. 450 cut off would be a bit too high. By best guest it can be somewhere 420 and 440 (depending where the ITA will stabilize). Or they can also opt for In demand list or for some kind of mixed option.
