I share the sentiment, but this is detrimental to our own health. Somehow, we have to find distractions that can help us mentally. I don't know what else to say at this point but I won't forget this treatment from the Liberal govt.
I have six months on my PGWP ... I am stuck in Canada, without first applying for PR, I can't apply for BOWP. I want to go back home and get married ... I am sick of this life and this country..
The Canadian dream has become a cruel nightmare indeed. I myself am stuck here, today makes 114 days that I am waiting for a visitor's visa from inside Canada, just so I can return here if I do visit my relatives. But after many years of chasing this dream, I cannot dare give up now. I will see this through and then move to the US where I will pay less taxes, buy a bigger home for much cheaper and enjoy better weather. I am tired of renting here and enduring the ignorant spewing from the uneducated locals which I pay taxes to support their social assitance.
The results of the draw are usually announced a bit later - around 7-9pm GMT, so in a couple of hours.
I'm not saying it will happen bo there's still a chance.
Don't forget there's no Medicare in the US. I grew up in the Midwest and while yes the weather can be better and you will pay less in taxes, you will also receive less services and be more exposed to violence.
There are cons to the US as well.
This whole mess is totally unacceptable.
There's no accountability, transparency, or even acceptance of fault! It took them 2 weeks after the mistakes in the 11/23 draw to even come out and say there were problems with the 2021 NOC!!
I live in the US with a non US partner, so I see first hand how immigration is hard, but this is just completely not ok.
We've NEVER had this kind of dysfunction with visa processing in the US.
Sometimes the system is crappy,but at least we know what's happening.
HOnestly not sure if I even want to go to Canada anymore. What a horrible first impression.
That's the idea ya. Last time (11/23) some people didn't get invited who should have. And some people who got invited, should not have been. And a month later they still haven't fixed it nor given any sort of update other than "we know it's broken"
