See full text of Ministerial Instruction

Number of invitations issued: 4,500Footnote*

Rank required to be invited to apply: 4,500th or above

Date and time of round: November 5, 2020 at 12:17:58 UTC

CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 478

Tie-breaking rule:
October 26, 2020 at 22:44:19 UTC
  • If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

As expected, a delay of 1 week resulted in a drastic increase in the cut-off. Many congratulations to those who made it through this time and others should remain hopeful. Good luck!
Hey Nik,
I hope you are doing good and happy to see you carrying forward the ray of hope.
What's your status? did u land in Canada? If not when are you planning?
These days, IRCC don't entertain short term stay and mandatory quarantine is kind of demotivating too.

Good News! Joe Biden won the US Presidential elections. Canada benefitted the most over the last couple of years due to hostile environment & tough stance created by Trump against foreign students and high skilled immigrants. The new change in presidency is a lot of stability for a lot of us in US who are stuck in limbo over the last couple of years. Things will change and get better for a lot of us here in US.

I am hoping this will be a good news for many aspirants. The scores should go down slowly over the next couple of months and the shift will happen gradually. I make 3x more money with more opportunities and broader location choices and I will definitely rethink my canadian PR plans as things get better.

Good luck everyone!

Hey guys I'm sitting at 468 and losing hope...I was thinking of going on student visa worse case scenario but my agent says that there is a high chance of the student visa getting rejected since it would be a conflict of interest .. is this true ? Or is the agent just pulling my leg ?

Lmao you posted this in the previous thread too, so I'll copy paste my response here as well.

What you're saying is based on a hilariously superficial understanding of the US political system. Any immigration reform will take a few years to pass. Especially considering the senate is likely to remain republican controlled. The best case scenario is some reform happens after the 2018 midterm elections. Remember, it took trump 3-4 years to pass the bills that negatively impacted indian H1b workers. So no, do NOT expect an overall decrease in demand for Canadian immigration because Biden got elected. There may be a reduction in demand over time, but that won't happen for a few years, if it does at all.

With consistent draws and no gaps, the scores will in fact go down gradually, but that has nothing to do with US elections. It is more acutely related to lack of language testing etc which is keeping a large number of people from getting into the candidate pool.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Do what you can to increase your score and don't believe in pipe dreams.

Consider taking 6 months to get french to an NCLC 6 level. That'll get your score to 478. It will be a significantly cheaper option than spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for a degree that will do very little, if anything, to help you with job hunting. Relative proficiency in french on the other hand, may actually help you in some areas.

Hi all,
A quick question, can I use my current ielts score in my ee profile if I have applied for EOR? does the date of result change in the new trf if the score changes?
Can I use this score to be in the pool or I have to wait for the final score after re-evaluation?

Previous cut offs range somewhere between 470 to 478, so you should get ITA in next draw. You should have all documents ready for submission mainly PCC which takes some time.
