I bet you that by August, the cut-off would have dropped to 465. Not everyone can get into the pool as it was before. IELTS is not back in full swing. Many are stranded, cannot write CD IELTS, cannot travel to IELTS location as it was before, not everyone writing the general module and not everyone will be blessed with 8777.
2,5K per15 days is close to the pre-covid timeframe
Unless Indian universities send electronic transcripts, dudes cannot have their transcripts sent for easy processing. WES and CES will accept only if Universities send them the transcripts. I'm from Chennai and I have friends in TamilNadu, Karnataka, Andhra, and Maharastra. Many went to the universities of respective states and none of them were able to send their transcripts to ECA bodies. Although transcripts requests are accepted (minimum it takes around 30 days to get the transcript alone) and after that, it just remains in the university dispatch section waiting for Speed Post to resume In-university services. Honestly, universities have even more work to do than sending transcripts to ECA bodies.
Some physical transcripts that have reached WES or CES' office are being kept in the reception and will be worked on only when staff come to office (September end).
Plus, down south, IELTS CD tests are available in Bangalore and Hyd. Now Karnataka has gone into full lockdown. Not many are willing to write CD IELTS. Most states are into lockdown in India.
Situation in US is damn terrible
So once again, cut-off will drop to a good extent. That's my bet
2.5k candidates joining is a way too high estimation mate.
I believe what you said will become true.

I believe that they are going to do another 3-4 month break from conducting FSW draws. I think in the true spirit of competitiveness they should wait until the flow of new entrants into the pool is back to the normal levels.

Do you think it might drop to 463 before the score shoot up again? I am trying to retake IELTS test to get additional 3 points (current CLB is 9) but it got cancelled again (in Mumbai)

I really hope you’re right. By July 22nd we’ll have a clear view of the impact of the combined CEC+FSW pool and its rate of new candidates.

Hi,

Did I submit the EE profile too early? I have my FT job since 7/7/2019 but I submitted my express entry on 6/7/2020 and got the ITA yesterday. My question is whether IRCC considers my 1 year experience on the day I submit my EE profile or the day I got my ITA

Thanks

Glad to know you are from Chennai. I am from Chennai too. I heard it's pretty bad there. As for the cut-off, it's impossible for us to know until they do the next draw. If there is no influx of high scoring candidates, the cut-off could drop significantly in a few draws. If not, I am afraid it will be back to pre-covid levels.

On the day you get your ITA and also on the day you submit your e-APR.

Thank you for your response. In my case, my ITA date is 8/7/2020 and my one year work experience passed on 7/7/2020. Do you think I can go a head and accept the ITA or re-create another EE profile ?

Yes, as long as you had worked a minimum of 30 hrs in all the preceding 52 weeks in a skilled occupation (NOC 0. A. or B). Also, no such thing as accepting an ITA. You can go ahead and submit your e-APR with this ITA as long as you satisfy these conditions.

Thank you for your clarification. So my application is only actually started when I submit all my files along with the e-APR right ? the date my profile is created is kinda irrelevant ?

I did thorough calculation and I am confident based on the current incremental % of new folks joining the pool in given COVID scenerio below are possible next cut off scores:

Next Draw: 472 (-/+1)
Subsequent Draw: 469 (-/+1)

3900 ITAs considered

If B2B draws happened we could see much lower cut off.

Draws after are hard to factor as it depends vastly on the rate of incoming new applicants. If the new applicants joining rate remains slow we could see 465 in August.

Disclaimer: This is just my own speculation, it did not come in my dream and I do not secretly work for IRCC. These numbers came from the effect of boredomness.

Thanks

The date you created your profile is only relevant when there is a tie-breaker and it also determines when your profile expires. Other than that, they are not used for assessing your eligibility. You just have to support your qualifications at the time of ITA and e-APR.

Hi congrats to all who received ITAs and so glad the FSW resumed. Just a quick question - can I skip one of the work experience I submitted in the EE profile and not providing work reference letter if the score would be the same?
I put a 2-month internship experience in my profile while now I just found it is almost impossible to get a work reference letter. I am currently 478 and when I submit my docs to IRCC in September, without that internship my score will still be the same. Can I just ignore that internship experience and do nothing?

Or do I need to submit a LOE? Thank you!
