Congratulations those who got the ITA

Just curious, why lately the draws only for PNP and CEC? Cannot be due to COVID-19 as it impacted everyone.

At the beginning of 2020 Canada set a goal to welcome over 300k immigrants so I'm curious if only CEC and PNP draw continues I'm not sure they can reach that number. Should we assume their goal changed?

CanPR has updated the prediction. They are still expecting a draw on 22nd but PNP only. I know it's all guess work. But is it possible that there will be a draw next week as well?

Very valid point. Especially if you look at last year, this year's goal is quite a bit on the higher side. And if the situation continues like this, I think the pool would be drained of PnP and CEC. But obviously health comes first, numbers can be met once the pandemic is in control.

Hey man, are you losing CRS score in coming days?

Hey guys.. has anyone seen any new twitter replies from IRCC, other than the generic 'we won't speculate' kinda response ?
Just wanted to know if there is any change in their stands for FSW invites.

Just another way to look at it, maybe they were planning to do CEC only draws anyway and the current situation pushed them to do it. On Twitter, they are not specifically saying that COVID-19 situation is causing CEC draws only that it has impacted application processing, their response is vague anyway. Looking at the candidate breaks up, there are not many CEC candidates in the pool especially in the higher score brackets and the 9 point drop in just one draw proves this. Maybe they are looking to clear all CEC candidates up to a particular cutoff lets say 430 or 420 and then back to general draws. Also, the number of candidates in 471+ range have decreased even though an FSW draw did not take place since March 4th, maybe we will see B2B draws for FSW once they are done with CEC draws. Just speculating, who knows what will happen.

That goal is really out the window due to COVID-19. Maybe they will achieve it, maybe they won't. But I don't think that goal is in any way a priority now for this year.

the number of candidates in 471+ range decreased because there are no Celpip or Ietls test due to the COVID19 but also, the companies that works with Canadian Equiv. Education (WES, CES ect) are closed or not receiving new applicants. So there are no new candidates going in the pool for now. Just PNP and CEC taking out from there.

As someone explained The PNP certificate expire in 6 months. So, they have to go-ahead with PNP also remember that at the beginning of the year they announced a focus on provincial nominate.

And CEC mostly their education is Canadian diploma/degree they do not depend on companies who certified Canadian education equivalency and they required less documents that FSW is easier for then to go ahead with CEC.

Also, remember that CEC inside Canada has an expiration date for their work permit, they need to proceed with this people before the work permit expire or due to this it will be an increases on extended work permit applications. That’s what I believe.

The good news is they are cleaning the Pool. So Onces FSW take place again Score will definitely go down as less candidate are in the pool.
