CECs are easier to process, and PNP are fewer in quantity, so it makes sense what IRCC is doing.

Remember that most countries are shut down, IRCC are not dumb, they know based on trends where most FSW candidates live and come from, and they know they will struggle to get their documents together in the next few months, even in 90 days.

So they are waiting for the situation to improve first before reissuing ITAs for them.

I would not read too much into it, it's being done for practical reasons relating to the current situation, not because of some long term shift taking place.

That makes sense but what about FSW candidates who were very close to the cut off before CEC only draws started happening and will lose points due to age in the coming months, do you think they will be compensated for CRS score loss?

It's hard to say, i know it can feel unfair for them but IRCC can implement policies to prevent that, such as freezing the loss of points due to age for the rest of the year. If there isn't another FSW by next round of invitations, i think this is a real possibility.

break down your Ielts score by skill.

You can try to do a 1 year post-graduate diploma.

Watch how the CRS scores will bump to 480s once this pandemic is over & general draws are brought back..

Hey All,
I submitted my EE profile March 2nd, 2020 and my CRS is 465. I have not received an ITA yet.
Have the rest received theirs?

Thanks,
VK

Which category you fall in? CEC or FSW? The last 2 draws were for CEC applicants only (with canadian work experience).

Oh!!! FSW for me..
Understood Thanks!

What does that ever mean for FSW?
FSW draws seem to be on hold currently. Although there has been no official word on this.
Also no info on when the FSW draws may continue.

Now you need at IELTS 8877 plus one year's Canadian work experience to boost your score to 470+. If it's unrealistic for you to find employment in Canada, you'll have to get a Master's degree or start learning French.
