Hi there!

Could somebody please assist me with the interpretation of my ECA result:
"First professional degree in physical therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy)"

According to the CIC guidelines:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ncy-assessment-outcomes-education-points.html

University-level credential at the doctoral level
Points: 25

Designated organizations assessment outcomes
  • Earned doctorate degree
  • Earned doctorate (Ph.D.)
  • Professional doctorate degree
  • Doctor of [name of discipline, such as Business Administration, Law, Psychology]
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnote i
  • Doctorate (Ph.D.)

Could I use this under Professional doctorate degree and claim points accordingly?

First professional degree, is usually a professional degree unless otherwise stated. This is equivalent to a master's degree.

Hi Rajapanesar,

Thank you for your response. I am not really sure where to put it- or if I could claim points on this (I hope I could). Thus, I originally put one year diploma on my profile.

I am also hesitant to put Masters as there is no “Master” wording, nor my profession is under the selected degrees that could claim Entry-to-practice degrees.

Is there a way to confirm this with IRCC?
I also submitted an inquiry to WES regarding this, but I have not heard from them yet.

I need help guys. My ECA is arrived after 5 months wait. My PG diploma is in forestry management, which is actually like an MBA, but the IQAS report says its equivalent to a masters degree in Science, with focus in forestry management. Now i am confused what field of study should i choose in my express entry profile- Science or management?

IRCC promptly reply at their Twitter handle.

If they evaluated it as MSc. then you should choose science. As far as I know, being an Environmental management student myself, these areas are still considered under natural or applied sciences.

not necessary I think, For example when ECA report says bachelors of science in pharmacy. It says bachelors but that is professional degree in Canada, So one get points for it.

Thanks buddy.. i also feel the same, but little scared whether it wl create any problems in future... Is there a chance of IRCC rejecting my application if they feel i selected wrong field of study?

Please I need your advice as regard work reference letter.

I have been working for the same organization since December 2011. My offer letter describes my position as "Legal officer". However in 2013, during my confirmation, my position was regularized to "Senior state counsel " with effect from date of employment (December 2011)and a letter was issued to effect this. Do I have to submit this offer letter along with the regularisation/confirmation letter

I was promoted to Principal State Counsel in 2016 and recently to Chief State Counsel.

Job functions have remained exactly the same since date of employment. No changes.

Questions:
1. Does my organisation have to issue separate letters for each of the positions? Would one letter be sufficient? Do they have to include the "legal officer" designation in the letter?
2. While filling my EE profile ( awaiting ITA), I merely indicated position as "state counsel". Does this suffice or should I update it to Chief state counsel being my current position and then list all the former designations.

I need clarifications please as I want to put my documents in order.

I pray your predictions are spot on like the November 27th draw. Have you gotten ITA yet or PNP? Would love to know because you have been so helpful in calculating all this. You are appreciated.

Thank you,dear...IJust love doing this calculation for everyone that's interested in guessing what the cut off for the next draw might be like. :)

I have to sit for IELTS exam again and I have to get CLB 10 in order to get ITA as per current trend and latest cut off score. If I get CLB 10 then my score will be 474.

All the best for the next draw to you,dear..:)

I still didn't receive an ITA, so I can't say surely about that. But that appears to be the most logical thing to do, I guess?

Guys this is regarding probability of b2b draw in December....if they tend to miss 18 Dec draw then next draw date could be 1 or 8 Jan. Again 1 must be new year holiday so 8 Jan is the only date left for draw ...that would be a whole 1month between 2 draws which is unlikely...so I think there must be a b2b draw....what are ur views on it....and what are chances of 467.

I think there will be 2 draws and if its a b2b draw the scores might just touch 469 or 468. My thinking
