Congrats.. well my DIP was changed on Aug 19 and no updates after that.
What is your noc ?

My timeline for OINP -

July 12 - NOI received - I was not expecting and I almost gave up hope for Canada Express Entry. I do not have any tie with the province, do not have any Canadian education or work experience and the only good thing I did was I selected all provinces while creating my EE profile
August 12 - Application submitted
August 20 - Assessment
August 21 - DIP
September 25 - Approved/ Nomination received

Designations do not matter, the content of the letter does. Different companies use different designations for the same type of work. I have 13 years of experience, and my last 2 jobs were aligned to this NOC (total of 7 years) - designation was Senior Manager.

I know a few friends who only mentioned those job experience in their EE profile where they wanted to claim points based on NOC. Once your ITA is received, you may then show the new job with explanation that you did not mention this in EE profile as you did not intend to claim points for this. As you are not intending to claim points, no need for a reference/ experience letter. All of them got their application approved and are in Canada, so you should be fine.

Can someone please guide me on what are the steps to get PCC done from U.S. / FBI, how long does that process typically take and whether we have to submit passport.

You should first create an account here (https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks) and follow the steps, and then go provide your fingerprints at either a police station or notary and submit them.
No need to submit passport.
You will receive your electronic PCC in 2-3 days.

wes gave me an eca of double bachelors..instead of recognizing me as a masters ..should i go for reevaluation..would that work?

Does someone know about getting UK PCC or have any experience on getting it? I checked https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/united-kingdom.html and I am not very clear what this means - If your police certificate states “No Live Trace”, you’ll have to provide documentary evidence of your “stepped down” convictions (that is, the convictions not showing on your Police Certificate). You can get this information by contacting ACRO directly.

I am assuming a standard PCC report should be fine (even if it says No Live Trace) and the above statement is only applicable in case of conviction and a normal applicant does not have to provide that explicitly. Does anyone know about typical timeline for getting a UK PCC.

Definitely, you should go for a reevaluation if decrease in point is significant. I would also suggest applying to a different agency for evaluation if possible.

Guys,

Last month, my wife, who is the principal applicant, changed her job. She is now working in a position that falls on a different NOC code compared to her previous job.

She has more than 6 years of experience in the "older" NOC and least than 4 months in the new one.

We haven't updated our EE profile yet with this new information.

Meanwhile, last week, we received a LOI from NB.

Questions:

Should we update EE profile with the new NOC, even that we will not claim any points for it?
Should we ignore this new job?
If the answer to the last question above is "NO", does she need to get a reference letter from her current employer or just from the previous one?

So I was reading through CIC communication and came across below. I think you should update your EE profile with your wife's new job and choose the right NOC corresponding to her new job. As long as you fill the requirement of showing your experience for the NOC that has been applied for the points, it is fine even though that is not the current job.

You must ensure that the information you provided in your Express Entry profile remains truthful and accurate at all times. If your personal circumstances change (e.g. you get a new language test; have a child; or start a new career), you must update your profile.
