Hi guys, Our CRS score is 446. My wife is the main applicant for Express Entry and waiting since April in the pool. Me myself is a graduate. I want to go to Canada as a student visa now but my lawyer advising that I can’t apply student visa now. But I read in the internet Something call “Dual Intent”.

If someone has knowledge in this area please advise.

I went to school while my husband was an EE applicant. In my student visa application, I stated that after I finished school, I would return to my country (US) until we had qualified for express entry. As it turns out, I qualified for the OINP master's graduate stream instead of express entry. It takes 17-19 months for the federal process. So we are back in US for a while. But I never could have gotten my score up in the 450s, so better a long wait then never.

I am at 454 right now, waiting for my spouse's IELTS. Also received OINP last week, contemplating whether or not to proceed with it. Any guidance is appreciated.

If you are going to get IELTS result of your spouse before your OINP expires then you can wait and see the trend of CRS for like next two draws. I am sure it will decrease in remaining year but don't want you to take any risks. If CRS comes down before your nomination expires then great otherwise accepting OINP might be the smart option.
So my suggestion would be to wait for 2 draws but keep all the documentation for OINP ready just in case CIC decides to surprise us again with something unpleasant. In thay case you can accept it and proceed with PNP.

Check message for further details. " I am a little confused about the two different mention of dates. Is it technical issue ?

yeah its a technical issue (happened to my friend in may but after few days he had the same date) but i guess PDF is the one you should be really looking after but why are you confused as long as you received an ITA just gather all your docs and submit them asap and hope you receive your PR card asa[ all the best

I am struggled as I will submit my profile at the end of this month with 457. I was planning to take IELTS again as the previous trend scared me. But with today's draw, should I retake IELTS and increase my score? Or just wait for another one or two more draws? Thank you!!
