You have it all wrong. Age is a major factor that affects how a person integrates in a new country.

If you are at 33 years old, you're chances of integrating properly and learning the language are much much lower than a 25 year old.
Also, If you're coming from a non English speaking country, then you are not qualified as a professional in Canada unless your English is immaculate. That's why having a masters or a PhD technically cancels out all the points you lose for being 33 years of age. It shows that you actually became a "Professional"

People who come from countries where they were extremely qualified tend to suffer here to get even beginner positions because they can't communicate in English.

Age is very relevant and the way it is incorporated into the immigration system is perfect right now. They don't want older married people who have a partner who is even less qualified to integrate into Canada than the applicant . A 25 year old person is very likely to be a single person who will end up with a Canadian citizen.

You simply disagree because it is not made for you and you feel cheated. However, for the benefit of Canada as a nation, this strategy is the best.

It's all about integration into the culture.

Revisit this post when you are 33 years old. Pretend you did not write this post, then, proceed to laugh incessantly and remember how naive you were exactly at (33 - your current age) years ago. If everything goes well, you might also learn some humility along the way.

Buddy, just being a little older makes it difficult to integrate properly into a new culture!!! who told you that? It's the young mind set which has the care for nothing mentality, the older you get the wiser you become. :) Young people are needed to grow the economy of a country, but the middle aged group of people (33 years that you are stating above) are needed to drive the existing economy. And who told you, people who are a bit older cant speak english? You seem to be having everything wrong about the immigration system. Having said that, I have no complains about the system, putting down someone by being judgemental is simply not right.

'I take responsibility,' Trudeau says in wake of damning report on SNC-Lavalin ethics violation

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-snc-ethics-commissioner-violated-code-1.5246551

this will affect the election for Liberal party in 2 months and immigration policy may affect as well by new government

Well, I don't think that it will have any real impact or if it does, that it would have lasting damage that will convert into electoral defeat for Libs.

Also, the entire issue is a double edged sword. Read about it, and you ll figure out how Trudeau will not be the loser in this. By coming out about this, his popularity will only surge more in Quebec as the entire thing was to champion Quebec's cause.
Now it may have some impact elsewhere, but since Quebec is second largest in terms of seat share and is a liberal stronghold, the damage will be counter balanced. There might be a downward swing in the prairies, but it won't matter much since Liberals don't really have much to lose there.

Besides, a recent survey showed that only 1 in 4 Canadians said that this affair is likely to sway their opinion (now figure what's the chance that those 25% are already conservative voters lol).

Rest, we ll figure out on results day. How about you calm down and focus on some real work till then, rather than lurking around a forum that has no use for you anymore. ;)

Anyone ever wonder why all the post from facethereality are on Ray of Hope threads going back to 118th ROH thread and no post before that? ;):) The objective seems trying to discourage people from the Canadian Dream. As his name goes, I guess most of us are facing the reality everyday what is wrong with having a bit of hope. Unless Permanent Resident 2018 thinks immigration is bad for canada? ;)

Even if Liberals loose I don't think there will be much impact on EE stream anyway.

If they lose, then there are very likely to be changes in the EE system. I don't think it's going to get cancelled but I believe it will become more difficult for the new candidates to get ITAs.

Yes some changes of course but will those be good or bad remains to be seen, Conservatives have the provincial government in Ontario. Yet here we are stranded because ONIP keeps nominating people. Not saying it is a bad thing but given the inflow of immigrants Ontario receives every year if conservatives really wanted to cut back on immigration they would start with ONIP.

Good info!
How much % of total 1600 may have gotten approval in this lot?
U can guess by ur share of 31 clients .
It’s all depends on when they accepted Onip invitation and submit documents. Those 31 clients accepted and submitted on 13july

Government believes it is good if more international students are getting PR because they are Canadian educated plus they hv Canadian experience (and that’s the reason they give extra point for both). And they spent 30000$ in 2 years to get that extra points so I also believe that they deserved that extra benifi of points
More than $30000 bro for 2 years, if you talking Bachelor degree.

I paid $36k for my 2 year program!!!... it's never coming cheap. International students deserve more than 15 & 30 points!... you are even rarely able to work as assignments are the order of the day :(

I deeply believe that is how EE might change in the future... Probably the Canadian Experience Class will receive more weight, as much as those new pilot programs for rural areas.

Guys, is Ontario and Alberta done with their noi giving? If not then how many nois are left for them to gwt issued this year? Can you pls share?
