How you think you will convince the case officer and the visa officer that why you are not accompanying your spouse and children if you have? Ofcourse you're not gunna say that just because you wanted your CRS to be above the threshold, you're not accompanying your spouse........ knock knock, that'll be a red flag.

Now let's suppose, you come out with any reason apart from the above one, it'll be a fake one and they will get you in a jiffy.

And if above points mentioned, you get thru, you will sponsor your wife and children if you have, they will never be entitled for govt benefits.

So think before you exclude your spouse from the application as it sounds easy to get the ITA but mate, trust me on it, it's even harder to remove the RR forever from application for not accompanying your spouse.

CIC once had an official reply to such questions and yes changing to spouse not accompanying to get higher CRS is acceptable. No need to tell lies. I believe someone in this thread shared the link earlier if you wish to have a double check.

For me I still have a very high chance even with spouse accompanying and not taking IELTS. However if the cut-off goes up to and stays at 470+ then spouse not accompanying is definitely an open option.

Do you have the link of the official reply? I have my spouse accompanying with me now but I've actually thought about this before.
Do you know how does it work if change to spouse not accompany?
Can I apply alone and then sponsor my wife and kid right after I get my PR? Thanks

462 with spouse you will get your ITA in august
