My Prediction for 2019
If regular draws happen ie: 2 draws a month then CRS will be around 447 at end of the year.
After the last draw there were around 2085 candidates in 451-600 range. And considering draw size will be increased to 3900 because another 40000 invites are pending when compared to last year intake number of 89000

and in 451-600 range average around 230 candidates are getting added daily basis which can be up and down. 230 is the max i have assumed. And around 30 profiles/perday 600+profiles

next draw size can be around

600+ 300
451-600 2085+3450 = 5535
Total 5535+300= 5830

Now if draw size is increased to 3900
5830-3900= 1930

Draw 2:(i am just adding the same amount of profiles in both 451+ range and 600+ range

balance 1930 in 451 above add 3450 more profile and 300 in 600plus total is 5680-3900= 1780

Draw 3 1780+3450+300=5530-3900=1630
Draw 4 1630+3450+300=5380-3900=1480
Draw 4 1480+3450+300=5230-3900= 1330
Draw 5 1330+3450+300=5080-3900= 1180
Draw 6 1180+3450+300= 4930-3900= 1030
Draw 7 1030+3450+300= 4780-3900= 880
Draw 8 880+3450+300= 4630-3900= 730
Draw 9 730+3450+300= 4480-3900=580
Draw 10 580+3450+300=4330-3900=430

Till draw 10 if the draw lot and draw size remains similar then score will be around 450 not below it.

Its just my thought guys i might be wrong also.

I had 3 IELTS attempts and got 6.5 for the first two attempts and 8.0 on the last attempt. The second and third attempt is only two weeks apart.

I would say practice planning your essays. There are tons of questions on IELTSliz's. website. I didn't practice a lot on writing full essays, but I've definitely practiced planning at least 15 different topics (business, education, work, family, etc.) of task 2 questions. If you can't think of ideas, try googling. Definitely expand your knowledge on different type of topics. It'll help you think of ideas faster on your test. Once you’ve planned out everything, you’ll write the essay very fast and have time to do some final editing. Also, time yourself to create an essay plan within 10 mins max.

Also, I suggest writing task 2 first then task 1. From my own experience from the first two test, I tried "perfecting" task 1 and wrote a lot of words which is actually unnecessary and increased the chances of grammar mistakes. Writing task 2 first will allow you to perfect task 2, and for task 1, you will realize you do not have much time and actually only include the necessary information. Most importantly, use a wide range of vocabularies, it doesn't have to be extremely difficult, but you need to use different kinds of words.

One more thing, your essay should be written in a way that all the supporting points and examples flow logically which goes back to having good planning on the essay.
Yeah I’m watching videos and stuff .
I’ll keep all the information you shared in mind. Thankyou. Really appreciate it.
I really gotta score higher in writing this time, that’s my only way out.

From my experience, I did both test 3 weeks apart when I did IELTS mines were:
Listening 7.5
Speaking 8.5
Reading 7
Writing 7.5

I did CELPIP recently:
Listening 11
Speaking 9
Writing 10
Reading 9

I cannot say which English Language test is best, but from my experience CELPIP produces better scores when evaluating my proficiency in the English language.

All the best. I hope there will be some improvement in your scores,
I’ve booked IELTS . If it doesn’t work this time then I’ll go for CELPIP next time and thankyou .

My OPT is expiring soon, so I’m trying to apply to Amazon or Microsoft or something to get sent to Canada via LMIA. But it is difficult cuz of high competition. Just wait for a couple of months, there should be more tech draws
I understand your situation now. You can try SAP or OKTA too. I am not sure how their policies are now, but they once support LMIA for foreign workers.
You'll go through the competition. Wish you best luck!

It's my first post in this forum but I've been following the threads from May 2019. I know that many folks are disappointed about the skipped draw and worry about another surge of the cut-off score. But I just want to draw your attention to the following facts:

The target for 2017 was 71400 but the actual total ITA issued in that year was 86023

The respective numbers for 2018 were 74900 vs. 89800

These figures indicate that the actual ITA issued in the last two years exceeded the target by almost 20 percent. I think chances are high that the same trend continues in 2019. The set target for 2019 is 81400; nonetheless, the actual number of total ITAs might be around 97k. Given the fact that so far 49000 ITAs have been issued, one might reasonably expect that almost the same number of invitations are to be sent. In my opinion, this might stabilize the cut-off score around 455 by the end of the year.

Pinned tweet from IRCC twitter Account:

We will not respond to any questions sent from August 10-11. Please hold your questions until August 12. Thanks for understanding!

Probably draw on Monday then.
It simply means that they are not working on Saturday/Sunday.

Target PR's for the year wrt ITA's mean nothing. more than 50% of the ppl who get a PR this year probably got their ITA's last year. so yes they can achieve their targets this year without issuing any more ITA's.

Good luck and don’t give up!

I believe everyone who has maxed their LRS means that their English should be good enough to score a 7 on Writing as well. I don’t think my grammar had improved so much that it jumped from a 6.5 to an 8 within two weeks. To be honest, I didn’t even study for grammar. The only difference that I can think of is the words variety and the flow of the essay that had caused such a huge jump.

Thankyou .
I think my main problem is planning the essay. I’m gonna read alot of sample ones online this time.

AFAIK, there was this startup in Calgary that ports your US job over to Canada thru the Global Talent Stream even when your US employer doesn't have an office in Canada. Only catch is that your current employer should agree with you working remotely.

Hi guys just asking your opinions
My CRS score is 458 right now with spouse and child.
If my wife give IELTS, there is chances of reaching 462-464.
But if I choose spouse not Accompanying score will reach to 467.
So my dilemma is which option I should choose? Losing 5 age points in dec 1st week

I believe your predictions now as regards this immigration.
