Hi all, I know that trying to improve on your CRS score is on everyone's mind here. In this changing climate, consider taking
a closer look at the several Provincial Nominee Porgrams (PNP). It may be that either you or your spouse have worked or are working in an NOC that is of interest to a province. As you already know, a PNP nomination gives you a boost of 600 points and a guaranteed invitation in the next round. I also know that French is of interest to some of the provinces, including ON.
There is another matter of serious potential consequence to the Express Entry program:
The upcoming federal elections in October. At the start of the year, the opinion polls where showing the Liberals neck-to-neck with the Conservatives, but after a number of scandals Trudeau and his party are quite bruised and are trailing the Conservatives by 7 percentage points in the overall CBS poll of polls. The present likelihood of the Liberals winning more seats than the Conservatives is very low. Nobody knows exactly what will happen to the EE program with the Conservatives in power, but it could mean they either sharply reduce the number of ITAs or increase the processing time back to years (not months) to dissuade people from applying. I really hope the drawbridge to
Castle Canada doesn't go up in October, but I would like you all to aim for an ITA before that if possible.
