I got mine a few mins back! It’ll come!Waiting for that CIC email notification is distressing lol
Well done mate!! That's the spirit!!Nov 2018- Created account with 438 CRS
Dec 2018 - Draw at 439...
Jan 2019 - Draw at 438....cutoff excluded me
Lost all hope of reaching 440s, gone back to normal life, stopped logging in canadavisa.com
Mar 2019 - PNP shows interest in me out of the blue without applying...Back on canadavisa.com
May 2019 - Score jumps to 1038. ITA Received!
I believe some people got their applications cancelled because the last day they stayed was after the date on their PCC.On the topic of PCC, I want to ask for your expertise on my situation. I was living in Germany since 2013 and decided to move back beginning of this year. I already had the plan for Canada so I applied for the PCC in person since that's convenient for me and the issuing authority.
My flight was on 8th Jan 2019, 6-7th Jan was weekend. So I went to the office on 4th Jan and that's the date mentioned on my certificate. Do you think a few days of difference will have any effect?
I wanted to explain this on the LOE but since ITA is taking longer than expected (sigh) and it seems like it would take at least a few months to get to 448 (even if it does), I could try apply again online though I don't know the process. But I would only go through all that again if its necessary. What do you guys think?
In an earlier post in old ROH, I said 450s could be the new 440s in 2019. Those who prepare early for it will benefit greatly.2 days away from the 2nd anniversary of the best day on this forum for express entry applicants (May 31, 2017 - lowest ever cut off draw - CRS 413), CIC does the worst draw in almost 2.5 years. The last time CIC had a cut off worse than today's for a non program specific draw was on Dec 22, 2016.
Looking at the current trends, unless there are 1 week gap draws or increase in the number of ITAs, we are going to see cut offs in the 460's and 450's for a good time now.
Seems like CIC is setting a new target of CRS 450 for 2019 like they kept CRS 440 for 2018 other than an odd draw in Dec 2018. The only hopeful thing in this is that there could be an odd draw with a cut off in the 440's sometime this year.
Applicants applying with no Canadian experience should be targeting to get an additional degree if they have only a bachelor's degree. IELTS CLB 9/CLB 10 with Bachelor's degree won't help in the current situation unless you have French skills.
Same like me. I was at 378 when the score was 440s. After a lot of struggle, when I got 446 score became 450. When I made it to 450 somehow with spouse ielts, it was skilled-workers draw on May 15th. And on May 20th, thanks to my birthday - now I am at 440.I did not have one-year work experience while the score was around 443; I got 443 while the scores became 450. I got 465 and now the scores became 470. Is this a sign that God wants to show me...
So sad
Abhishek, I am at really very bad situation now. After a lot of struggle for 2 years, I reached 450 last month but lost 10 points for birthday leaving me at 440 now. I will get another 10 points in July, which will get me back to 450, but do you think it will ever make it to 450 this year? I am really losing hope now...Cut offs this year would predominantly be staying in the 450s not in the 470s if they continue with 3350 ITAs. Today's was an anomaly due to the 4 week gap draw.
The number of applicants have been increasing each year as Canada has become the most favored destination for immigrants in the last few years. So, cut offs could go higher even with 3350 ITAs but maybe into 460s in the next 2 years if the influx increases.
490 cut off is only possible if they decrease the number of ITAs significantly, which does not seem like an option now with the targets but you would want to keep a close look out on the after election situation before concluding anything as targets can be changed.
Also, 2021 is not the last year of EE, the targets have been set till 2021 as of now. There is no plans as of now to discontinue EE.
What will fetch you 10 more points?Abhishek, I am at really very bad situation now. Hey Abhishek,
Does this draw includes PNP?
As there were lot of PNP invites from multiple provinces last week..!
