I am a CEC in lander. I should obtain my COPR and immigrant visa in a week or so. I believe that my immigrant visa will expire at the end of April.
Now I face a dilemma: currently, I got a new job offer this week, so before I technically become a PR, the employer still considers me as a foreigner and will accredit me as a foreign official and get me a Canadian Acceptance which is similar to a combination of a multiple entry visa and work permit on my passport. Once I land and activate my COPR, I need to notify my employer to cancel/revoke the Acceptance.
I know the most hassle free way is to activate COPR once I get it, and don't even need to get the foreign official status. But what if I want to land at the end of April and enjoy the foreign status from now till April, will my immigrant visa for landing be cancelled/revoked once my employer sends my passport for the Acceptance? Really headache!

Accredit you as a foreign official? Get a "Canadian Acceptance"? What exactly are you talking about?

Pre-Assessed..
As long as you don't cross a Canadian border, you're not an official PR.
If you still have a valid work permit and stay in Canada, I don't see any problem with it.
But a work permit application? I'm not sure what the officer will think when they review your application. Obviously they will notice right away that an immigrant visa has been issued. You will need a convincing letter of explanation for that application.
