Raj, Bestofluck, seniors plz advice: Change of Primary NOC in EE Profile

Hi,

At the time of creating my EE profile I choose NOC 1313 as my primary NOC on which I based my immigration application. However, my current NOC is 2161 and this is what I wrote in OINP nominee form when I sent my OINP application.

I was going through my EE profile and noticed this and realized that I should have choosen NOC 2161 as this is my current NOC and have maximum experience in this NOC. I have updated my primary NOC to 2161 in my EE profile and now it is consistent both in EE profile and OINP application.

My question is do I need to send an explanation to OINP regarding this? My agent advised me that if I change primary NOC now then need to send proper explanation to OINP. Honestly I feel that it is not required as now EE profile and OINP is consistent with NOC 2161 only. But still I would like to have some suggestions.

If you have not received ITS then you can update it. M pretty sure.

You can update your profile prior to having received your ITA as many times as necessary. It would be best to send OINP an email and notify them of the change, too.

It is written in the oinp guide that if you change anything in your EE profile, you must inform OINP using change of data form.

As you have already changed in your ee profile, i'd suggest you to fill that form, attach an LOE and send the mail by tonight ASAP !

Hey thanks. What shall I write in the LOE? It was a mistake done at my end to choose NOC 1313 as primary. Shall I write that by mistake I chose this NOC and later when I was reviewing my profile one day I found this mistake and corrected this.. Please advice.

You can explain exactly as you did here, it seems to be genuine reason to me, and i think has happen to a few.
