Hello Friends,
I have applied for AINP on 17 june 2015, received my file number in week, but then received nothing after. My work permit is going to expire in November 2016. I called AINP, lady said my file is active but not assigned to any officer. I am a bit worried now as I have to maintain my status. O was wondering if I can apply for bridging work permit on this basis. please guide me with all possible options. Thank you all

No you can't apply for bridge open work permit without AOR. Your only option is LMIA or if your spouse is student or Worker. Otherwise pray that you have Ainp before November.

1- The job should be NOC A, B or 0
2-Should have at least 6 months left on his work permit
3 I am not sure about the part time.. I think it should be full time

other information can be found here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=177&top=17

He has same time left as mine. Can he still apply for it?

Then there is no point. Spouses can get the maximum to the end of the primary work permit holder. Sorry your only option now is LMIA

Hello Mo,
I have a similar question as i am awaiting my AINP nomination (SRS Engineering Occupations) as my open work permit expires early next year.

- My wife is on an open work permit working in NOC A (full time). She is on spouse open work permit but she got the permit only 6 months ago, so is it extendable?
- Also, someone advised me to have your spouse take a 2 year program in a college/university and get a study permit for 2 years. Based on that I can get an open work permit for the same extent

Please advise what to do

Thanks in advance

1.Her permit should expire with yours
2.Yes you will be given an open work permit for the duration of her study.
