AINP news
This page outlines changes and updates related to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.

April 24, 2015

As of May 1, 2015, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) will no longer accept applications or documents hand delivered to the AINP office. This measure is required to ensure the security of your documents and to allow the AINP to focus on program delivery.

It is strongly encouraged that you send your application or documents to the AINP via registered mail or courier. Sending your AINP application or documents by registered mail or courier helps ensure that your documents receive priority delivery and that your documents can be traced.

The AINP cannot confirm receipt of an application or additional information. Do not send any additional documents or information to the AINP until you receive a file number.

It pretty straight forward.

if you are applying for BOWP with AINP (before getting AOR from your PR application). you will end up with a closed WP.

Documents you need for BOWP

BOWP complete application form (no need to sign if you are applying online, I recommend this cause it is much faster if your wp is expiring soon)
Job offer letter
Copy of your nomination
Passport pages
All the other work permits you had before

That is pretty much all you need

All the best

I was on the document check list and does my employer now have to do the IMM 5802 form? "Offer of employment to a foreign national exempt from a labour market impact assessment"

Also the check list said to provide:

A photocopy of the nomination letter and a statement from the nominating province or territory that it supports the issuance of a work permit.

I have the nomination but that's it...

If its Alberta nomination u dont need any letter from provincial government

And about the employer. I am not sure if they have to fill that for nominees ( i applied for bowp right before the rule change
