Why don't you call CIC and ask these kind of questions? I figure you can keep working as long as you apply for work permit extension before it actually expires but don't quote me on that..

I'm on implied status. You don't need to do anything with your SIN number. You can't renew it or get a new one, just use the same one you had before your work permit expired and you can continue working as long as you don't leave the country.

Congrats! Yes you can apply for BOWP once you receive a file number from CIC. Whats your NOC and category?
