Hi,

I am a new member here, I am baffled to make a choice. As I have to pursuit my Post-Graduation in Human Resources or MBA. The thing is one of my siblings live in UK, he recommends me to come there as he will be able to take care of me and help me with major and minute things but I am reluctant because I know after my Post-Graduation there are very little opportunities to stay there.

My question is, which province is the best to go where I can get PR easily after completing my Post-Graduation. What are the conditions to obtain PR ? Would I require a job offer or certain amount of work experience. Which province would be the best as I am from Pakistan.

Thanks your reply would help me alot.

alberta is easiest at the moment.

other provinces require you to have one year of work experience before you apply.

Try to look for good universities, u will be able to landup a good job after that, "as rules are changing continuously so Your degree will only help you in the end" - this was a suggestion i got when i had the same query from senior members of this grp. I wanted to pursue the same course, so i am now lukng for good universities regardless of the location. :)

Hope it helps :)

university education is always better in the long run......however if u want a career in trades skills(more hands on) colleges r better
trade skill means electricians , construction workers , technicians , chefs , etc masters degrees r for people who want to be engineers, architects , management , etc. after college education at some point u have to get university education if u want to go up the food chain , where as with college education u may get a job faster which may not pay enough as per ur bachelors education. so u have to decide what type of person ur ..do u like to work with ur hands the go for college or do u like to sit at ur desk and work then go for university degree. this is a broad difference i am pointing out for ur understanding .

Mead is totally correct. You have to first decide what degree you want to persue then decide coll/univ.

However i personally feel university(gives you degree) is better when you want better opportunities rather than college(gives you diploma) when you consider higher education,,, but budget also matters universities are costly than colleges.
Decide for yourself
:)

I am not an expert in computer science but do u know the difference between a programer/coder and a software engineer? programing is one part of being a software engineer. a software engineer understands the complete problem designs a solution and then hands it over to a programer who codes it......if u just want to be a programer then college would be good but if u want to broaden ur knowledge university degree is helpful.....programers just know a few languages and thats it so ur career as a programer will be limited however u will find jobs fast. so choice is fast comparatively low paying job to a little wait for the job but a little higher salaries. programers r a dime a dozen and software engineers r not that many. same goes for jobs programer jobs r dime a dozen but software engineer jobs r few. this just my view others may have a different thought

Btw i am going for this course - http://www.humber.ca/program/information-technology-solutions
and i feel i will be well equiped to be a programmer after this course, whereas i have been a software engineer from past 3.5 Years in India and majorly worked on Java technology hope i will have decent job after this degree in Toronto.
