I have seen 2 or 3 Pre-Feb 2008 applicants rejected or put on hold when the OB442 is clear regarding the Selection Criteria... Or is possible to get MR without the 67 points awarded?

Please share your comments...

Regards!

One of my friend on trackit applicant of May 2004, got his medical
this month. Today he did his medical by Dr Wakil...and unbelievable
he got this reply in evening from CHC:

Thank you for your recent enquiry.

The Government of Canada's Economic Action Plan 2012, which became law on June 29, 2012, will impact certain federal skilled worker applications. For additional details on how your application may be affected, please refer to the following website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/n...

It is recommended that you do not undergo medical examinations until further instructions have been issued.

Till late Canada (CIC albeit) wouldn't have rejected any application unless under Grounds of Inadmissibility (pls read here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t107016.0.html), but with Bill C-38 and the OB-442 rejection of the pre-C-50 applicants can occur till the last moment... did u read the "Processing Instructions" of OB-442?

With this the "grounds of rejection" have moved further till FINDEC-1 (Final Decision), which is the last CAIPS Code one gets just before the PR visa/s r issued. Whereas, Bill C-38 had "limited" that till SELDEC-1 (Selection Decision)...

Pls read the 3rd box of the "Processing Instructions" of OB-442 (extracted below):[/b]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the officer.........................................................And...................................................Then:
Established whether the applicant meets the...............The application has not been...................= The application is -TERMINATED ; and
selection criteria (SELDEC-1) on or after....................finalized (FINDEC-1) before.....................= Fees paid to CIC are to be returned...
March 29, 2012,.....................................................June 29, 2012,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thus, there could be cases when even if their SELDEC-1 was met / meds were issued, the tables on him/her could yet turn, at the last minute...
