Quitting the original job after applying

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and have a basic question reg applying. Is it ok to quit the job after sending the initial application to CIC..or will the application be rejected once the job change is notified during the subsequent processing? Specifically, if one is in US, is it ok to transfer from L1 to H1 (a different employer...)?

Change of jobs cannot affect your application in any way. I would advise that you obtain a reference letter from your employer prior to disengaging finally. You will definitely need it for your full document submission.
